General Information and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me ABud or oldmodelt) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manner.

$5 bet that my lap records will fall during qualifying...

Well, ive had a 2 min lap in a Gt500 with a few mistakes..... a few years ago. but now it seems i need to break out the steering wheel again.....

A quick bash for GT500:

52.371
1' 34.278

Two big mistakes, lots more time to come off the lap, but it's very hard to overtake here...

suddenly I feel rejuvinated. Hours at Suzuka for the GT5P F40 S-6 test has removed my fear of this course, so it should be fun!

Yup. Got an extra one for me. :scared:

The wt penalty will help my lap times this round but not my confidence. With some practice and a little luck maybe I can pass the penalty to somebody else for the next round.

Had a go at this last night, heres the splits to my best lap in my quickest run so far:

50.367
1.31.763

Ive done better T1s than this, not much left for me in T2, a little left in T3 as I always seem to mess up the chicane after 130R.

Im regularly running mid-high 49s in the first sector. I can still do a bit better. Though, like East, im screwing up the Casio triangle almost every second lap. Usually I brake a fraction too late and enter it a couple meters too deep.

It really feels great to run at Suzuka after that horrid Seoul Central. Im really enjoying myself.:)

Ah well.. I'm still practicing here and guess what is the thing that really annoys me?? I always took the first right into the last chicane!!:banghead: Does anyone else have this problem?? I can't seem to remove this habit :(

EDIT : Was practicing still and got this so far..

0'53.693
1'39.881

Maybe I can get my S2 improved but I think this is the max that I can go... Owh this is a time for GT300 :)

Yeah I used to do that all the time, so I just stared at the track map for ages to try and fix it

The best sectors i got for the Dome
0'56.xxx
1'37.xxx

But with the Woodone supra i done some working out.....
0'52.xxx
1'34.xxx

Difference at the end: 7 sec

I want to change car! :(

I want to change car! :(

I hope that is in jest. Because I think race rules prohibit it. You pick your car in the class and race for the duration.

Play around with the top speed slider.

 Why'd you spell tires: Tyres?

Because that's the preferred spelling almost everywhere except in the US. Why else? It makes more logical sense to spell it that way, too, so that it isn't a homonym with "to tire," as in exhaustion.

Okay, I get it now. Thanks for that. ;)

Just got my race done in GT300 and I'm pleased with it!! I've pushed very hard throughout the whole race and I think in this race I could breakthrough my little dissapointment back there in Korea. BTW here's my brand new sector times...

S1 - 0'53.611
S2 - 1'39.800

Good luck everyone and enjoy this week's race ;)

if i come near last again, i wanna new car........

Don't really make a quick decision mate. Try to extract more of your car first and if it really doesn't suit your driving style and if it's true that the car done real badly, then you may have to ask Andy to change your car. Wonder if it's actually ever allowed to.

if i come near last again, i wanna new car........

There's lots of cars avail from the last GTPLMS. Races start next April. ;)

My bad attempt at humor.

I do know that when I was testing the cars for myself I used Suzuka and all the cars in each class were within a sec. of each other. Fastest to slowest. That's not much. A corner here and there and the order could have been different. And then I chose the cars based on their almost identical tyre wear.

Many of these drivers know these tracks so well because of the hundreds of laps they have done. That's why I chose Suzuka because of the last GTPLMS and Austins343 and Balang479's races.

I'm not keen on people switching cars, as oldmodelt says it's in the rules - the last thing i want is loads of people switching cars all over the place.

my weight shows -3% is = 1069kg not 1071, is that right? or am I messing something up?
EDIT - I mean -3% from 1104 (original weight), total is -7%

Times submitted. :sly:👍

Doing it early though, because I'll be leaving for a anime convention later this afternoon and I won't be able to do any more races until I get back late Sunday night.

I don't think I'm gonna be able to do this race guys, I'm very sad but I'm going camping tonight and returning on Sunday.

!
my best is 51s and 1:33s, now if I can do that EVERY lap ;)

You start from the beginning wt. of 1104. Then add or subtract clicks from there. It gets you to 1071. Mine for ex. goes from 1111 to 1078.

If I slide three ticks lighter from 1104 I get 1069, not 1071.:indiff:

It's because I calculate the weights not by looking at GT4 (would take FAR too long!)

All this means there is usually a small amount of discrepancy between the numbers - 1069 is what i meant.

Hope this clears things up.

Andy
