Let's get it on!!!

Let's rock.

I see a lot of "Let's get it on" and only one person getting it on. Nah I'm playing. My first crack at the week.

T1: 19.338
T2: 1'03.319

Well the M3 has problems with the cornering and braking with turning
but, this is track one of my strong suits.👍
Let the races begin!

Yeah, I talked with Greycap about it's sluggish responses. Personally I was quite fond of the Bimmer once I got the handle of it's quirk.

What are you cruising in?
I seemed to be the first tuner to race around Seattle.:)👍

I'm using my own FPV F6 and the Series One. The F6 got my timeslips above.

I'm inclined to say that it's the track, not the car, that's causing most of the trouble. I've witnessed the same myself. The same car that could take hairpins at 80 km/h on race courses struggles to get through a 90 degree corner at 100 km/h. The same applies to Leonidae's 350Z and actually just about every car I've ever driven on Seattle. The surface seems to be very slippery, causing far more understeer than on "normal" courses.

Same here, in testing my NSX had the rear out the whole way around corners. At Seattle I have to put a lot of work into it just to keep the front off the wall.

Corey had to pick out that track.

 My SL65 AMG works great on the track (Good that I tested it on the "normal" Seattle Circuit before releasing it :dopey: Actually, I tested it on every track, except from Test Course, Hong Kong, Super Speedway and Beginner Course). There's understeer, too, but it's controllable.

At this point, I want to thank Corey for hosting and running this competition. You're doing a great job! 👍

Sounds about right. You guys were smart enough to bring "small" cars too though, I'm trying to shove a massive lardass M5 around here quickly.

That's true. But I'd be happy to drive an M5, much lighter than my AMG (Although it's not giving much problems)...

Hey, randonymity picked it. Not me. (Okay, that's half true.) Thanks on the support though. Everyone else having some fun?

Corey

few test runs with the Z, and after figuring out how to overcome that blasted understeer and half-dead G25, half-assed run resulted as follows:

T1: 0'19.372
T2: 1'03.561

and that was with wall contacts and some nice drifts. :sly:

:)Shaved a second off my hotlap.

I found the F6 very slow compared to the Shelby. I really don't understand why there isn't an LSD or even a fully customizable transmission. At least I can still use the Shelby, as I did when I got a lap with splits of 18.579 - 1'00.983. I think that the BMWs are going to dominate the competition, honestly.

Has anyone tried my NSX? I'd like a second opinion on it.

I've just been out in the M5 and got these splits:

19.395, 1'01.878. I did get a few late 18s but boy is this car hard to drive!

Actually it reminded me of a quote from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy -

"That must be one of those Lazlo Lyricon custom jobs — looks like a fish, moves like a fish, steers like a cow…”

More like an enraged bull, it's nuts :)

I know... I took it out the instant Corey revealed what the track was and promptly started cursing myself.

It doesn't turn here but it's fast as hell everywhere else. It sucks.

EDIT: Oh yeah, one little tip though... Go into options, click on "steering" and set the GT Force steering type or whatever it is exactly to Simulation instead of Amateur. For whatever reason it affects the DS2 as well.

I ran some laps with the Cobra R and got these splits:
T1: 19.445
T2: 1:04.724

Split times aren't very good but somehow I shave second after second off my time despite T1 & T2 times not improving much.

I too am cursing the track choice. I can deal with the lack of grip in the track, it's the dawn/dusk time of day with all the shadows that pisses me off. I can't see where to turn/brake.

T2-finish is 3 turns.

Sounds crazy but, I got a lap as fast as Austin!
Sad thing is I was full on concentration when my sibling knocks me off
of it.:mad::banghead:

Doing further testing with the AMG, though. Time splits will be up soon. :p

T2-finish is 3 turns.

It's the whole last downhill section. I guess I really pick up time there.

The 2 trouble spots that kill my split times are the first chicane and the turn crossing the train tracks.

I'm starting a new job this week so I don't think I'll have much racing time, if at all until Saturday.

True, it's a tad slower. It has a distinct purpose. The Shelby was developed as a technical car, the F6 a high speed machine. I don't do well with LSD tuning and I felt the transmission was stout enough because of the 6's torque.

My Shelby Times
T1: 18.490
T2: 1'00.806
