Damn, it lives! :D

[vwvortex] lower it [/vwvortex]

This, although judging by your past car projects you don't need suggestions in the "lower it" area.

===

Glad to see you got it mended though and back on the road 👍!

Aye. Would like to see the rear bumper...is it even legal over there to run it like that?

Good to see you back...

That Toyota remember me the Top Gear Toyota Hilux... :D Just dont want to die!

"Did we (Top Gear) manage to kill the Hilux? No we did not, which makes us think that maybe, just maybe, it might actually be indestructible."

You're a brave soul traveling in that sugarcube.

Good work with that, its nice to see it back but I must agree with Omnis 👍.

not as fast as GM products of that era, but pretty quickly.

+1... Don't see how it could get any lower...

Nope.. I pulled the rear bumper off because it was hanging, and the tow hook was hanging in that again by a rope..

Word.. :) I've been trying to kill the poor bugger and its high mile 4K engine, it's unstoppable.

You're a brave soul traveling in that sugarcube.

I've travelled 2300km in this heap in a week.. :) It's the Rolla that's brave, traveling with me.

Wouldn't mind if it was even though, haha.

The frame rail is bent, last night we tried to pull it out with a chain, a tow hook and a tree. I'm not sure how it went, we may have gotten some way or we may have done matters worse. Time will show.. :) The car is totaled anyway so I have to do this. The insurance doesn't know, but in January it's m.o.t-time, if I show up with a really bent car it's taken its last breath.

Take a little of this

Mix it with this

Is the Corolla(s) still going to be a daily/rat or are you planning something special with it then? Have you chosen... you know... a single colour for it yet? :sly:

It seems he has chosen a single chassis. What'd you do with the rest of the other car?

If I can get it through the mot:

Krylon ultra flat brown (on the right) :)

Together with all the 79/chrome/japan spec parts I've sourced for it, like bumpers and front and stance. I was gonna do this after the summer but then I crashed the car as you know.. I'm gonna need 79 spec fenders and front plate for the early JDM front to work, so the beige fenders are going back on the beige car (unless I can find someone in better shape)..

Which is gonna be painted up in the stock color, I'm sourcing 82 spec chrome bumpers for it, like this:

I have two 82s but one will be built into an early Japanese car, one periodically correct 82, both with all chrome options. Today I got hold of brand new chrome rain gutters for the project :) Oh, and I did work on it today for the first time in weeks.. Cutting out rust is fun.

Anyway, I'm just rambling here, I don't wanna promise anything as things rarely go as planned, so just stay tuned
