You Have Chosen the Next FM3 Car Pack (!!!)

Hey guys, sorry I don't post often enough in here, but I figured this was something important enough to drop... Especially since I do spend a lot of time playing the game (more than MW2, something is wrong with me). Anyway, the guys over at the car blog Jalopnik have partnered with Microsoft/Turn 10 to produce not just one, but two car packs (!!) that will be chosen by their staff and the readers on their website. The selection process is actually surprisingly similar to that of how we do the "Best Car Series" selections over in the Cars in General threads. A big mess of cars are nominated, and the top ten will be selected out of each group to move on to the next round. They come fast and hard, once a day, every day. So, vote often, and choose a sweet ride. Just an idea of what we're dealing with in each group...

Knowing Jalopnik, and their readers, classically awesome cars will be chosen. I'm crossing my fingers for the E39 M5, B13 Sentra SE-R, Porsche 928 and GMC Syclone. They're all totally awesome in their own regard, and I hope/pray they make it in there. Hell, just the notion that the Fiat X1/9 is being considered shows how totally awesome this could be. Totally.

If the Syclone is in there I don't care how much the DLC costs, I'm getting it. It was my favourite vehicle in PGR4.

Well, these are just 2 DLC packs, meaning there's still around 5 more packs for one to pop up in.

So all we do is email the author each day a new list is released?

No, you just vote on Jalopnik in each round. The top ten from each of those will go head-to-head until they widdle all 120-something cars to what... Right around sixteen for both packs? Its much better than the "hey Autoweek, what kind of cars do you like?" release earlier this month.

The idea is great and the car list an excellent complement of an already very solid carlist.
I hope they put the Mclaren F1 LM and the Ferrari 250 GTO (1962) on tomorrows list.

that's weird, on my iPod touch i wasnt getting any of the voting options ...

[edit - out of all those options, only the two different generations of M5s actually interest me ... :| it doesnt help that even i was interested in the old classic ferraris, part of me knows they'll cost 8 figures and ill never have that much money to spend on a single car ]

I've updated the OP with the Day One winners as well as the next set of vehicles from Group Four. Looks like a lot of the winners thus far have been fairly predictable, less random than usual. My Fiat X1/9 didn't make it. Still, there is a lot of widdling to be done here...

This is moving fast and its insane the amount of cars they are letting us pick from. Only one I am waiting for is the 1970 cuda and Forza 3 will officially have pretty much every single car I have wanted all in 1 game.

Wow there are a lot of good choices, I wish they would just make all of them.

They are actually making almost all of them. You get to vote on 10 per group. So the majority of those cars will indeed end up in the game.

Heck yes. Just truly awesome that T10 did this for the community. They always listen to the community and provide what we want, but holy crap this is something innovative for sure. I sure as heck hope PD and KY are paying attention.
