There would be many of us on here that have already earnt cars from GT5P and GT PSP that if GT5 were released today could export them into the game.

What cars have you got so far? I'm worried about how many I'll actually have by the time GT5 is released lol

One thing that does worry me as I don't want to have to grind through GT5 is whether the fact that I copied a game save with only the F2007 when I first got GT5P will void my ability to import my subsequent GT5P cars to my GT5 game save.

Since getting that game save I have bought every car available (74 or 81 whatever the number is) including another F2007, a black and a white Citroen GT, Mini Cooper in every colour, multiple Ferrari's all in red and some doubled in yellow, and Ford GT's in different colours.

In GT PSP I currently have the following:
- Audi: Le Mans quattro '03, S4 '03
- BMW: M5 '05, M3 '04
- Bugatti: Veyron 16.4 '09 (White/Light blue, Black-Blue/Blue, Black SP model)
Hope to have all colours of Veyron by GT5 release.
- Chevrolet: Corvette ZR1 '09, Camaro SS '00, Corvette Convertible '54
- DMC: DeLorean S2 '04
- Ferrari: Enzo SP '02
- Ford: GT '05, Mustang GT '05
- FPV: F6 Typhoon '04, GT '04
- Jaquar: S Type R '02
- Lamborghini: Countach 25th Ann '88, Countach LP400 '74
- Mazda: Attenza Sports 23Z '03
- Mercedes-Benz: SLR McLaren '03
- Mini: Cooper S '02
- Nissan: GT-R Spec V '09, 350z GT 4 Ltd '05
- Peugeot: 206 CC '01
- Renault: Megane 2.0 16V '03
- RUF: CTR Yellow Bird '87, RGT '00
- Shelby GT350R '65
- Subaru: Impreza WRX Sti Prodrive '01
- TOM'S: X540 Chaser '00
- Toyota: Celica GT-Four '98

Not sure if this is in the right place, but I certainly have only 10,000 credits in my GT5 garage. No importing for me thanks.

And well done Dj another very un-troll like post from you.

GT5P doesn't seem to care about where saves come from, so I doubt it.

In any case, if all goes to plan, I'll have enough money to buy cars for people and give them away for free (which I plan to do).

I've started collecting F2007's for GT5, but then I also thought I could copy my GT5P file to other PSN accounts so I could transfer my fleet of F2007's an infinite number of times, and then trade them to myself to sell, thus getting infinite money at the beginning of the game.

If that doesn't work I'll have to settle with (from memory)

R8
TT
DB9
Amuse S2000
NSX
Corvette Z06
Citroen GT
Buch of tuned cars
Viper SRT-10 X 4
Viper GTS X 2
F430
599
F40
F2007 X 3
512
California
Ford GT
Mustang
Elise
Evora
RX-7
RX-8
Evo IX
Evo X
SL55
350 Z
GT-R R34
GT-R R35
Mines GT-R
Speed 6
TVR 350

I know there's more, but that's what I recall.

That's a really interesting thought (I thought of it myself as well, using the trade feature with friends or different accounts and selling to get all cars), but I think PD may be ahead of us. ;) In GTPSP you can't sell cars, perhaps it will be the same in GT5? Either that or there will be a credit limit to make the process more cumbersome.

i have 4,700 cars ready to transfer over from GT PSP ready and i have all 74 GT5 Prologue cars if they can swap over

I have more then 180 cars GTPSP+GT5P and I'm not gonna transfer a single one are you kidding the best thing about GT is starting from 15,000cr or more and make your way up don't spoil the game guys just to win those first online races and improve your rep

All of them in almost every color.

*edit* Can't wait to sell off all of the cars I don't care for (hopefully.)

About 200 in GT4 so I won't name them and all bar the Ferrari 599 and Blitz Skyline in GT5p.

I second that. 👍

I see what you mean. To combat that I'm going to.
On lbsf1 psn i will try to complete the game fairly no cheating.
On my gtplbsf1 i will transfer my 300 cars from gtp and gtpsp.

So then I can have the fun of driving all the fast cars in the game, but also have the hard grind through the career.

and guys why buy cars to sell in gt5 when it says in the gtpsp manual you can transfer money as well :)

Good idea and come to think of it I may transfer my Bugatti Veyron and have a little run at the nurburgring at night and with rain :drool:
but anyway PD might make the game more difficult or straight forward to players who transfer their cars and money (OH Veyron at the Nurburgring at night with rain :drool:can't wait c'mon PD):)

Surely, the whole point of playing through the career is to work your way up and acquire better cars/more money as rewards for your effort? If you transfer stuff like the Veyron from day one, where is the fun and anticipation in that?

I won't be transferring any cars at all to start with - maybe just a bit of money from my GT5P save to speed up progress slightly, we'll see.

I'd rather spend my valuable time playing for the 200 new cars, than the 800 old ones I already collected in GT, GT2, GT3 and GT4.

Rep has nothing to do with it. It's about getting the most from the game, which means bypassing doing chores for credits and jumping right into online racing. At least in my opinion.

I think I'll just be starting with the credits given, or I may create a second PSN to use my GT5P cars in

But on my GT5P save data I have 1 F2007, and 1 of every other car, bar the citroen GT

An old 1990 supra, and a Mazda Demio. Gotta have that Demio. And it has to be a 1994 in that teal/green color.

Demio > Any Ferrari or GTR or whatever you guys think is uber-fast.

Very confusing  You say the point is to work you way up and aquire better cars and more money, fair enough. Ok then you say you wont transfer cars, fair enough, but then you stump the whole lot and say you MAY transfer "some" money. Isn't that "the same" as transfering cars so to speak?

I will be doing it from scratch. No transfering any cars or credits.

I want to keep the tradition of starting a granturismo game with a Miata or a civic going

My gosh, this place is full of 12-15 year olds and it makes me sick. *face-palm*

I second that. 👍
But obviously with better grammar and at least some punctuation...

Honestly, I know that's English as I understand the words, but it's just one big long jumble of words with no punctuation which makes it extremely difficult to read.

Acceptable Use Policy
No slang words that promote laziness, ie; “r”, “u”, “plz”, etc. will be tolerated. Decent grammar is expected, including proper usage of capital letters. Repeated violations will be grounds for suspension and/or permanent removal from the forums. All messages must be posted in English.
Read that. Understand it. And post properly next time.

Like i said in another thread, i will transfer the 74 cars from Prologue if possiible, but only for arcade mode.

My apologies Daan I was in a hurry.

For a start, I said "may" transfer "some" money. Secondly, no it's not the same as transferring cars at all.

As much as I like the series, I have always found the very beginning of GT games to be a tad boring and monotonous as you drive slow cars over and over on the same courses to build up money in tiny increments. I am talking about speeding up this initial grind, not moving enough money to buy a really fast car outright. How much I transfer (if anything) really depends on what cars are available to start with, how many credits you have, what races are available, and what the rewards are. This will all be known once the Japanese version launches.

Whatever credits you start out with, I'll use that much to buy my first car. However, if moving some credits over from GT5P means I don't have to go racing the same early races over and over just to buy a turbocharger to compete in other races, then I will do so. That's not cheating the system in any way, it's making use of the features available and making best use of my time which is in shorter supply than it was 10 years ago.

We don't even know yet if car transfers will be for arcade mode only, or for career mode too. It might be an option you select at the time of transfer. Moving cars over to career mode is, to me anyway, pointless. Moving them to arcade mode is fine, but ultimately it spoils the surprise and anticipation. By the time you come to earn the Veyron for real in career mode, you have raced it to death already in arcade mode so there is little reward in my view.

Each unto their own...

I got about 50 or 60 F2007's. I'll import the lot then punt them for cash, soon as I've finished playing through GT mode vanilla.

That's my angle as well.

I'll be starting my "career" with my favorite car for $10,000, like every classic GT fan will.

My guess is that (if) arcade mode does not include all cars your transferred cars (which are not already in arcade mode) would become available in GT5 arcade.

I completely agree.

I will not be transferring cars, that would ruin the fun.

I understand why you might transfer some cash over from prologue. The main reason being, It is tedious racing the Sunday cup (or other beginner races) X number of times in order to afford a decent car. Sure you could just buy a second hand Evo or RX7 from the start and blitz everything it can enter, but where is the fun in that.

The title is a bit confusing, IMO.
I have all the cars in gt5p and I'm hoping at least a few get transferred over. I'm assuming all the money will be transferred otherwise there would be no point in having a $2MIL cap in gt5p.

The "point" of Gran Turismo is whatever you want it to be, however above all else should be to learn how to drive.

Grinding for money and cars.. I've done that too many times and will still do it again (multiple McLaren F1's and LFA's :)), I just want to focus on driving. So heck yea I'll be x-ferring all my PSP and 5P cars 👍
