EDIT: NO COCKPIT VIEW IN STANDARD CARS. CONFIRMED.

Translation: The only diference between The two types of cars lies on small details. Although Details in Standard Models are Outstanding, the meticulous and detailed design in Premium Cars reach levels never seen in car games. ''The only true Difference between both types of cars is the quality of premium car details, such as interior details, damage or dirt.

So there you Have it, I guess this thing solves the Cockpit View Discussion 👍

Thanks for clearing that up but didn't need its own thread.

If what Meristation said is true, than it is the information that actually needs it's own thread more than 70% of "new threads" created here every day..

Even though im very much in the camp of all cars having cockpit view, this article is still no more clearer to me.

Actually IMO, for as many people that have been debating about this, I think it's own thread is fine, but to each his own.

Anyways, great find, and as long as that translation is correct, we should all be :D

Well, the main Reason I took this Interview So Seriously is because MeriStation Reporters have had way many Interactions, Interviews and Conversations With Yamauchi Since before GT4 had been Launched, As a matter of fact, they were invited to that Secret video they showed Only to the press like 8 Months Ago.

(With a Jeremy Clarkson Voice Tone)
Some People Say that the Difference between Standard and Premium Was One having Cockpits and the other one dont having them. But as you read they say the only difference is on INTERIOR DETAILS, Dirt and Damage.

I dont know you, but for me Interioir Details doesnt mean Cockpit.

I remember reading the article from last year, Kaz regards this guy as a genuine friend.

Thanks for the finding and link Chepu:tup:
From now on only the blind won't see closure in this debate.:grumpy:
Some piece of worthy information in a flood of useless and pointless regarding this subject in the last day:yuck:

This.

All it takes is one more article saying "Only premiums cars have detailed interiors" and this argument will start all over again.

We need a solid piece of information saying "Standard cars will have cockpit view, just not as detailed the premium models".

Us blind people are the ones who don't go around making assumptions based on how we want something to sound. That article/translation is no clearer than anything else out there right now.

Honda

Regarding interior view...do you mean you would want a black frame interior view? ^KY #Honda #E3

This explains it all.

Well, To explain you, In Spanish It clearly States that Premium Cars will Have More details in the interior. MORE DETAILS IN THE INTERIOR is not the same as having Interior details.

Its just that, Its harder for me to Explain it in English given it aint my native Language, Also I made the translation Myself 👍

If that article is a 100% true, then I'm pretty damn sure we will see cockpit view in all cars, with a few exceptions for some of the concept cars.

I think an example of a standard model is the R34 Skyline in GT5 Prologue, which has interior and great overall details, but still far from the level of detail put into the premium models.

Thats what im talking about Strittan. You saw those premium shots of the nascar those shots where amazing the standard cars will look like GT5p 👍

Forget "interiors", the detail on those is irrelevant. The question people want answering is, "Will all cars have a cockpit view/cam when driving?" Going by the way the direct questions were dodged, and responses like, "Do you mean black frame cockpit view?", it would seem that 800 of the cars will NOT have a cockpit view when racing. Not that I care as I hate that view anyway, but plenty of people will be upset if that's the case!

Look, in Kaz's interview just now, he asked if we wanted "black-border" cockpit views, like in GT PSP:

So that means the cockpit view for the "Standard" cars isn't there.

Just for a little optimism, maybe they have got some interior modeling. The '69 Corvette and Camaro Z28 should both be "Standard" cars, as they are both GT4 cars, right? And yet, from the screenshots, I can make out seats and steering wheels in both. So that could mean that standard cars have a very basic level of interior modeling so that they'll look good from the outside. Or, it could just mean that they're premium models.

Either way, I don't think that standard models have fully modelled interiors, but they may have wheels and seats.

It now seems there will be NO cockpit view for the 800 standard models after all. Which is a big enough let down to make me not buy the game.

Well we have this optimistic Spanish interview, but then its followed by KAZ himself "going there" and talking about GTPSP Black frame cockpits :S:S:S:S

We need closure, a video of a standard model with cockpit view enabled.

It seems to me that he was being sarcastic when he answered the question.. YES, we will have cockpit view for the other 800 cars.. I'm 99.9% sure!

Haha, no one is going to believe that.
I know, and I'll probably buy it by the time it's out anyway, but at this moment I don't want to. At this moment I just want to hate. Hate Kaz for setting the goal to make such a ridiculous amount of cars that only 20% of them are complete, and hate all the gaming websites for confusing me over and over the last two days...

The way in interpret this is that in a premium car, if I break a window, when I look at from the cockpit, the window is gone. In a regular, the window would still be there. I'm super OK with this.
