How can I activate the head tracking??

Dang that's annoying. Thank you for these videos though, I probably would have spent the rest of the day trying to make it work in career mode.

Anyone know if it works in online?
 
Well I can't get mine to work correctly I have followed your advice but will not work. GTLIFE or Arcade. Does the room have to be bright or dark? On top of the TV or down at the bottom? I had it on top and got no response and then placed it on the bottom and got little response.

It works in arcade mode only (time trial and drift only, not in single race...yeah, what the hell...).
My pseye is on top of the tv, like 2,5-2,75m away from me, so I had to turn the little zoom on, lights on etc. I tried MANY different settings. It works like 🤬: I see random movements and lag...
I don't know how much time I wasted trying to fix this thing, it just ruined my first day of GT5.

You have explained my frustration to a T. I worked with it for about 1 hour and said the hell with it. I wanted to play.. But I was getting those little weird movements too.

Yeah I just said to hell with it and unplugged the eye, it seems to only move when I don't want it to.

I think I'm gunna just wait until a fix comes or someone figures out the settings better, and just enjoy the game :)
 
This kind of pisses me off as the only reason I bought the PS Eye was for the head tracking. Arcade only?

It shouldn't even be advertised as a feature. C'mon Sony and PD. Really?
 
I guess it can't work in races since races have pit stops. I remember hearing something about it not working in races with pits stops. In any case, that sucks.

I'm in the same situation as you. It tracks my head when I'm in the options (the + sign moves around with my head), but nothing happens in Arcade mode. :grumpy:
