Overview:Fix the horrible understeer
Parts you'll need:Weight -3, window weight reduc (optional), Stage 3 engine, ECU tuning,Sports intake, Racing air filter,Sports exhaust, Catalytic Converter, Titanium Racing exhaust, High RPM turbo[1],Fully customizable tranny,Clutch twin plate, sports flywheel, Adjustable LSD,Torque sensing center dff.,Carbon drive shaft,Fully customizable suspension,'X' tires[2]
[1]:I found the Mid RPM turbo to cause shifting lag worse than the high RPM turbo
[2]:For this specific set up I started with soft casual tires, then reworked it with stock tires

Traction Control:1
ABS:10
Other assists:None

0-60:3 seconds
0-100:5 seconds

Tested going in a straight line

Allright after two hours this is the best I came down to: It handles much better than stock in the corners, accelerates better, and doesn't drift at all. It does however still slide up the track when cornering at certain speeds.

McLaren F1 Stealth Model (first tune) by seoulspirit

Overview:Sacrifice some speed for total traction and control
Parts you'll need:ALL the best parts (even stage 3 engine)
Tires:Racing Soft

Aerodynamics (buy it from GT auto):
Front:50
Rear:70
This is the maximum setting for control

Transmission
Top speed: (I prefer 205-261)
It's impossible to hit 260+ even on Daytona (stock)

Adjustable LSD:
Initial Torque:60
Accel Sens:60
Break sens:30
Again, more traction at the cost of speed and understeer. Break sens is lower because it's halfway between total oversteer in the corner and better performance in the corner...I'd suggest using a lower setting for Break first

Suspension (fully customizable)
Ride height: -2 front//10 back
Spring rate: 14.7 front//19 back
Dampers (ext):4 front//8 back
Dampers (comp):2 front//6 back
Anti roll:7 front//1 back
Camber: 3.7 front//4 back
Toe:0.30 front//-0.10 back

Brakes
Front 4//6 Back

Basically you set the LSD to maximize traction at the cost of understeer, but then compensate with setting the suspension to oversteer tendencies

Assists:Traction control:1, ABS, 10, ASM or anything else:None

Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 by Sail IC

Fully upgraded the ZR-1 RM gives 905hp at 1100Kg weight. My tune

Downforce: 35/53
Transm.: 360 km/h (380 at Nordschliefe)
Initial torque: 10
Acc sens: 20
Brake sens: 10
Ride h: 5/5 (35/35 at Nordschleife)
Spring: 16.6/14.4
Damp ext 9/7
Damp comp: 9/7
Anti RB: 3/5
Camber: 2/1.5
Toe: 0/-0.30
Brakes: 5/7

I play around with the rear breaks depending on track. Its good at 7 but if I want better turn in use 8, better stability a 6.

I also play around with rear springs. Its pretty balanced but if I want a bit more oversteer lowering the number seems to create overstear (opposite to what I expected)

Its by no means a perfect tune but its good enought to win Gold at All-Star. If someone has an idea to further improve it would be great.

Cheers

Audi R8 5.2 V10 FSI Quattro '09 by Demon-Dub

I installed the wing and set full downforce. No issues spinning the car, unless of course it's driver error. The car will spin if you try and accelerate on anything but pavement. And I find if you drop the gear too low and redline it the car will spin if you are turning. I set mine up although it still needs some tweaking. This may or may not work well for your driving style.

Front Rear
-15 Ride height -15
10.8 Spring rate 11.0
6 Damper(Ext) 7
6 Damper(Comp) 7
5 Anti-roll bar 6

3.0 Camber 2.6
-0.04 Toe 0.06

I have not played with the LSD yet, still on default settings.

Center diff set to 40% front 60% rear

Brake bias set to 6 front 4 rear

Traction Control set to 2
Skid recovery off
Active steering off
ASM off
ABS 2

Ford Mustang SVT Cobra '00 by Rotary Junkie

Try -5/-20 ride height, 14.0/6.2 springs, 9/9 extension, 6/6 compression, and 6/2 sways for a baseline.

Toe angle of 0.20/-0.15, camber at something around 3.0/2.5-3.5/3.0.

Mazda Furai '08 by nMe_Jareth

Ride Height: - 3 front -1 rear
spring rate: 13.5 front 15 rear
damper extension and compression: 5 front 7 rear
anti-roll bars:3 front 4 rear

camber angle .2 front .3 rear
toe angle: .0 front .2 rear

top speed: 237 (i think and if it's off an mph or two then it's that click lol).

Throw on some racing slicks

this is all i found so far. please send me you tunes if u want them posted in this index. thanks to all the tuners.

Some seems to struggle to get Gold at the All-star w/o a race car. There are also not to many tunes posted so I give it a go.

The ZR-1 RM performance is very close to the real race cars. It enabled me to win Gold at all races with a 2-5 second buffer, all aids off except ABS at 1. Exception is the Nordschleife where I do win Gold with it, but its so easy to crash in one of the many corners.

Strong points with this car/tune
- Easy to drive
- It accelerate great out of medium speed corners (best way to overtake race cars)
- When accelerating it holds its line and doesn't understeer out
- Great breaking and it turns when breaking without losing the rear (ABS at 1)
- High speed turns. You can overtake race cars on the outside

Just to give a hint of the performance. I'm a decent driver but no demon. In the second race I spun in the first thunnel, got into 5th place 6 sec behind the leader. At the end of lap 2 I was back in the lead and won the race with 4 sec.. In the 4th race on the "bridge circle" its about 1 sec faster than race cars.

Fully upgraded the ZR-1 RM gives 905hp att 1100Kg weight. My tune

Downforce: 35/53
Transm.: 360 km/h (380 at Nordschliefe)
Initial torque: 10
Acc sens: 20
Brake sens: 10
Ride h: 5/5 (35/35 at Nordschleife)
Spring: 16.6/14.4
Damp ext 9/7
Damp comp: 9/7
Anti RB: 3/5
Camber: 2/1.5
Toe: 0/-0.30
Brakes: 5/7

why will it become useless in due time junkie?

I reckon that there will be at least 3-4 different main tuning garages around who will likely wind up with 50+ tunes each, and have their main pages organized in a way that makes it obvious what each tune is for.

well until then i was just tryin to get the tunes out there easier for everyone instead of lookin thru forum pages or searches and i was planning on putting every tune available here from all tuning shops with a lil more organization if i could ever get this made to a sticky, btw Thanks to all the tuners and tune shops for the tunes. keep up the good work. we all appreciate what u do.

This is useful... But will become useless in due time.
What he said. What if people change their tunes? Are they going to tell you so you can update? I think not.

Also, once the tuning forum picks up, you'll run out of room in the post. It's also going to be impossible to find a tune in your first post as they're not in any order.

So, sticky? Denied.

My Max hp thread also gets denied? :dopey:

What are these cars specifically tuned for? Maximum handling? Speed? I ask because it just says a car and the different things that were tuned on it, but no reason why...perhaps there are there better tunes for the murcielago?

i just posted them i didnt make them so i really dont know, mainly for all around overall performance i guess. i was just tryin to put some different tunes out there but i'll let everyone do all the researching and find their own tunes.

This forum sucks and has no direction or organization

Awesome joke on the second bit there. There's a certain level of idiocy that comes with the launch of any GT game, GT5 is just the worst I've been here for.

Doesn't mean the forum is unorganized (quite the contrary), it's the members. Take yourself for example, instead of posting links to each setup telling you what car it's for, you paste every setup you find into a single post, causing a massive unorganized blob of nastiness.

Twister, sounds like u know what ur doing. i dont. i tried to get someone to help me but im not internet smart and dont really know how to make links and all that. when no one offered to help set up a tune index i tried to do it on my own. if u can make a new page with links to each different tune instead please do. i just wanted to make it easy to access all available tunes from one page instead of searching thru and so on.

Just a quick comment on the brake bias numbers. I think it's backwards. There should be a bigger value for the fronts than for the rears as the front wheels need more brake pressure when the weight of the car moves all the way to the front on braking. This is true in real cars and if the ABS is set low, you want less braking force to the rears to avoid lock up.
Just my 2c worth...

In GT it differs from car to car.... There is not set rule for it...

jeremy_craig I commend you for trying to help others. I don't use tunes from others because you never really learn anything that way but it is a good starter point for some guys. What's this world coming to when you flame a guy for trying instead of offering assistance on what would make it better.

thanks to everyone that supported this post but im afraid i wont be posting anymore tunes here because ive been shredded by people and received infractions from mods, so good luck on all your tunes and race hard!

Has anyone got a really good setup for the ct230r evo? because i love the car and i don't fully understand spring rate and compression etc etc.

or if you'll be nice enough to explain in detail?
