It is an integral version of the shortened interview published yesterday in Famitsu.

New large game-update is scheduled for approx. 20th December

I need to point out one big problem with this game...... It is still missing the Time Trial Leaderboards!!!!!11

When are we likely to get them?
 
Thanks amar212 for the links! Guess that means Sig Ed. SLS Challenge won't be beginning till after this update then. Good to know I still got a few days left.

He said that they'd like to make it so that you'll be able to use the courses you made in the game's course maker mode in online races. This is something that he hopes to implement soon.

This is what I've wanted to hear from the Big Man himself. I hope he can deliver on this.

There are currently some cars that have both standard and premium versions. Those are cases where the cars were remade.

I guess this answers the question some people had about if you already own the car, will it automatically be upgraded to the premium version? My guess, no, as the premium won't be replacing the standard model. It will be a whole new car in the game.
 
Damn, I hate hearing about GT6.

I'd rather wait for PS4 for the next installment. IDK, it feels like from the complaints I heard about GT5, it makes it sound as if it was failure so we wait for GT6, "hopefully we get it right this time guys!"

Not to say it's bad. IDK, guess alot of people were expecting too much. After hearing alot of things about Forza tearing GT up with doing everything GT doesn't do. Was hoping GT will come full force and change the game. And it did, but PD didn't come all the way through.
 
Well, I think it's encouraging. It seems they are keen to support GT5 well. Who knows what we'll get. Read KY's words carefully though: He says "the possibility is there", and "we would like to, of course!". This is the way he always talks about the future. I can see no solid suggestions of what is actually planned to happen.
 
I hope we get some visible (seenable?) updates and not only things that are not important and we can´t see some change...

If only PD posted a full changelog together with each patch.
But I guess to publicly disclose what changes exactly would be too much embarassing for them. The list would be full of entries of bug fixes, performance and balance adjustments, etc.

There is nothing to be ashamed of log changes in the patch. At least we could see what has been improved, and on what area of the game they are optimizing.
 
I hope they add some kind of log of events for b spec, I hate coming home to find bob messed up with no explaination except to sit thru the complete replay.
for example,
Log entry #1: P.Durr has entered the pits on lap 15. 4 new sport soft tyres and 38 litres of fuel taken.
Log entry #2: P.Durr has left the track on lap 29 at turn 5. cause: Exhaustion

And so on....

Kaz has weird logic sometimes. I'm thinking he figured GT5 shouldn't have a leaderboard 'til it's absolutely necessary with GT Academy.

A small thing I'm hoping for is for them to let us race on our saved course maker tracks. And add the point-to-point feature for the course maker we heard about before. This would also allow some of us Kart fans run on ACTUAL KART TRACKS. :)

Again, GT5P had active leaderboards from the very start... Long before all this GT Academy rubbish lol

I would be very happy to see Seattle, El capitan, SSR11 and other previous tracks in GT5 still. As for cars, I think a little over 1000 of them is more than enough (for now).

agree, cars is the last thing we need right now, we have 1000 of them....... A-spec mode lack of events, terrible unbalanced credit/XP system is a joke right now.

The whole thing would be fixed if they rewarded players with just a tiny bit of xp and credit in online races.
