I just paid 12 million credits to get an Ferrari and you can't even use it on online races. Except when you join restricted f1 races. Which almost never happend.

Well that's lame:grumpy:. Also A-spec seems not to be working with it. Why can't the fix it so we can use it on online races like the FGT.

Here's were duping comes handy...

I think it's unfair to pay more than 1,000,000 for ANY car. So I dupe expensive rides and pay normally for all cheaper (less than a million) ones.

yeah that is really lame that you can't use those cars. but how is it unfair to pay a mil for ANY car? i think you meant to say that you are just lazy bluez ;)

Hopefully when/if online leaderboards get released for all tracks you can use these cars for time trials. Almost exclusively used the 2007 with prologue time trials. Its very addictive taking tenths of your time. We can only hope.

Well can you imagine how much grinding you need for a FGT, a MINOLTA, and a vintage Ferrari race car ??

My point is that 20,000,000 rides become unreachable to the point of being "stupid" prices.

Considering that IRL no such figures exist a max figure of 1,000,000 is really do-able with some grinding. Anything above is duping for me.

Why is it even in the game if you can't use it? That is the real problem. And when will it be in the game, that is the question.

No, i want to use it on every track when there are no limitations givin for it online, just like the FGT which even seems to be faster then the Ferrari F1 2007. It just doesn't make sense to make differences on just those 2 cars ( Ferrari f1 2010 and Ferrari f1 2007) compared to the others which are available to use online.

Bro if you could snatch up all the 20mil rides in one week, that would be boring as hell, thats the point, is that you grind it out and WORK for them, this aint the kinda game that comes "fully unlocked for 15$ extra"...you gotta put in WORK, and have a feeling of continuity in your grind.

Must admit the prices of 20 million, hell even 10 million seem a bit excessive. Admittedly I'm only at level 17 but seem to be running out of races (that I actively want to race in) and the prize money is hard to come by, how in the hell, unless later levels have 1 million regular prizes for individual race, is anyone supposed to get hold of these outside of the excessive players who must not have a job or a life to satisfy...

Edit:

I do hope one day PD let us just unlock all the cars for a nominal DLC fee or something, because at my current rate I'm simply never going to get my hands on any of these extremely expensive cars. I don't feel like it's warranted for me to play this game for even 6 months solid (when I have the spare hour or two a day) just to get hold of all the machinery in this game. All I want is to take these beautiful, poweful cars round the Nurburgring endlessly, improving my own lap times, and be able to race the best players online in the best cars. I feel like I'm going to have moved on from GT5 before I reach anywhere near that stage, and eventually I'll get bored of my 458 and my Impreza. I know the purists think everything should be earned, but the level of time needed makes it feel like more of a grind than anything enjoyable, and really not what I paid my money for.

Sorry for the rant :(

I'll be doing the same thing. Duping the expensive ones and just paying for the ones under a million also. I can't see myself spending 12.5mil for a car I can't use on the events.

I can, but it's still a bit much. One thing that are few and far between in GT5, because of the variety are standards, eg: GT300, Super GT, F1. If everyone has the same car that is built to be on a level playing field with other tuned versions of it, lap times become more competitive and less a matter of parts/suspension. I have no problem paying money for cars that allow me to do this, even if I'm only competing against myself. I know that if I beat a lap time, its not because I stumbled upon a better tuning.

But it still is a bit too much money, its like the cost of things in a F2P game when you don't want to pay cash: SEVERELY INFLATED in-game credit cost.

The credits are a joke, but that's not the discussion. It just doesn't make sense to give people with a Ferrari f1 2010 or Ferrari f1 2007 not the options for using the car on a-spec or online like the FGT. The do not even warn us for it.

Credits gone for nothing.

My point is that they are not gone for nothing if you enjoy driving in GT5. Time trials and balanced online matches are not "nothing".

A good portion of my time on gt5 is spent in practice mode beating lap times, and I know that's the case for lots of other people who play this game.

And the case for a lot of people is that the dont play practice mode. Just a-spec and online, so it is for them.

FGT is faster than the f2007 and f10 and handles just fine with a good driver.

I too wasted money on the f2007, it only has 700hp and I can't get it back 208mph.
I don't get the pointof that car, it's slow than the FGT yes cost more than double

well because it actually exists and doesn't have a last gen car model? It drives more like a real Formula 1 as well, the FGT drives nothing like a single seater.

The fgt can top 400km while the ferrari f1 max is 340, what a joke. But the most important is, the fgt can be used online and offline. Ferrari f1 only restricted on practice mode.

We need more people hosting/joining Ferrari F1 rooms. Everytime I go in one theres only 1 or 2 people there. When I create a room the same thing happens.

It seems like everyone goes with the FGT or X1.

Stop talking of F1 being useless. You can use them a lot...and no one needs to have a F1-car between GT-cars in a race....because everyone can imagine what happens.

So online, they are limited for F1-races only. Start yourself a lobby with F1 cars and everything is fine.

Problem with that is they let the Redbull X1 and FGT compete with regular cars.
Which are much faster than the F2007/F2010

Stop talking about non arguments, the fgt car and x1 can now already race against people with far lesser cars. Does that make it fair. No.

The problem is, people with f1 cant see on online list who are, hosting a restricted f1 race. You can't filter it.

Then the problem aren´t the F1 car, but the X1 and FGT. Those cars have no place in normal races.....and THAT should be fixed.

It's called a game, it should be possible to use any kind of car you want, offline or online. Or do you expect that someone who takes real madrid online are not aloud to play a lesser team. If both guys just want it. And the host doesn't have any restrictions set on.

I absolutely love both the F10 and F2007. One of my favorite things to do is fire up one of those cars and take them for a run on Nurburg. If you can't enjoy that, do you even like racing/driving in the game? Come on, people. The fun is about more than just trophies and credits. This is a driving simulator after all.

I would hope that at some point in the not too distant future, they will "open things up" so that the Ferrari can be put to use, that just makes sense to me.

If you have one of these cars, you are going to have to have friends with one to get the most out of it. Keep your eyes open for people mentioning they have one and send them a friend request, mention the F1 in the request. I dont know for sure, but seems a logical explanation, that Ferrari did not want their cars being raced against anything else and made PD implement this. Which is also why there are two to choose from. When looking through lobbies, I can see what people are doing before I enter a lobby, hover the cursor for an extra second and the lobby current status will pop up. In my experience usually if theres an F1 lobby, they will name it accordingly, so if you have one, join that lobby and add them as friends. If they went the work to get one, most likely they will drive it wisely. If you are the only one you know with one, it will seem quite useless, dont be that guy. I dont anything about Arcade or practice, doesnt seem as fun as racing with real people to me...
