I finally got the last bspec trophy and had to retire Mr. Bob. After 40 he starts losing races and falling behind so you need to re-hire a new driver. I spent a whole month on bspec 24/7 ps3 on and then we have to retire Bob, lol

that's odd...

once the trophy is unlocked, Bob falls behind and loses most races, i hate this kind of programming from the devs, it's like they want you to start over again but hell no, i ain't doing bspec again. Time for Aspec now.

He seriously slows down? Wow. I only have level 34 Bobs so it will be awhile yet for me.

I grinded hundreds of AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP races with Bob in a 2J Chapparel and he came in 1st place everytime, after trophy unlocks Bob came in 9th, 10th, and 11th place. Plus Bob's stats start deteriorating slowly which forces you to pick a new driver.

Does that also happen in A-spec? When we reach lvl 40 we start to slow down and lose races? :o Maybe I should stop at 39 and think about the life I have ahead of me. I don't want to just crawl under a rock and become useless when I reach lvl 40. :<

That sucks though. All that hard time to find a celeb name for your bob and you will have to retire them and replace them. xD dammit

Was it from getting the trophy or Bob getting lvl40? Think it is pretty silly to simulate your b-spec driver aging as soon as he gets to lvl40. All that b-spec is to me is a way to farm credits to buy cars I'd like. Kinda silly to farm anything in a driving simulator, so I wouldn't doubt that once Bob hits 40 it's all down hill so you can have fun training another Bob when what you should be doing is driving the car you want or have the PS3 off/playing a different game. Not that starting a brand new Bob once you have cars like the FGT and X2010 is a big deal. Also, is the overall b-spec lvl40 or when your Bob hit lvl40?

Currently overall B-spec lvl37. Have 6 different Bob's : lvl39.4, 30, 30, 30, 29, 27. Think my lvl39 Bob won't be doing endorance races anymore.

The game lets you enjoy Bob at lvl 40 until you unlock the trophy: The Air of Experience (Bronze) Raise a B-Spec driver to the peak of his career

Then Bob drives like an idiot - lol it's pretty weird to give Bob a superfast car and he comes in 9th, 10th or 11th place.

So Bob's levels seem like us in real life? (my bob is level 28)

Under age 12 or so, we drive bad, love to crash cars. Same with Bob.

Age 15 or so, we start to learn to drive properly, we realize crashing cars is still cool, but isn't needed. Same with Bob (most of the time).

After about age 20-22, we realize we can have fun driving (drifting, speeding, multitasking 0.0, etc.) (and I do NOT encourage it). Somewhat the same with Bob.

Age 30 or so, we buy something cool (Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Jaguar, etc.) and maybe take it to the track and know how to drive well. Bob does about the same.

Age 40 or so, we start cruising more, enjoying driving. Then drive REALLY slow at age 70-80 or so. Almost the same with bob, but he ages faster (must be due to that constant "pace up").

And no, I'm not age-ist or whatever :P, I'm 15 myself.

This for lvl40 bob or Air of Experience?
How do you get the Experience bar to fill anyway

keep doing bspec races until the white line reaches the end, that's when you get the trophy and then Bob starts driving like your grandmother.

You don't have to start over just hire a new Bob and enter him into one of the endurance races in a really strong car and let him go. He will jump 20 levels or so in the first race.

Really? I think I'll do this myself.

That's weird, I have 2 lvl 40 B-Spec drivers and have been lvl 40 B-Spec for nearly 2 weeks now and mine aren't getting worse at all. Perhaps im just lucky? =D

i grinded 24/7 ps3 on all the time until i filled up the white bar in under a week, my fault for grinding too much i guess. Bob loses skill after Trophy is unlocked, not before.

I do not think it is realted to his level but rather his experience bar. I have 6 drivers all around level 32-33 a couple have a lot more experience showing than the others so they will be the first to drop in skill even if the others reach level 40 sooner.

Yep. In the US version it is the experience bar same thing but different wording for some reason.

Weird...

Sort of on the same topic. Any one else notice that the career/experience bar slowly fills as you do b-spec races, regardless of whether you used that particular Bob or not?

Did you have progress bar filled up to the end?
