F2007/F10 better than the FGT?

The Formula Gran Turismo is supposed to be "ultimate" Formula One racer, but when I drove it, I found it to be an overpowered, undrivable piece of crap. The Ferrari F1 cars seem so much smoother and controllable.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

I feel the same way when I drove the F10 I found it much better than the FGT, I hate the FGT, wish the FGT Championship was with the Ferrari F1's intead.

The FGT is a rough dublicate of a Formula 1 car from the 90's... Because of FIA's struggle to keep the speeds down because of saftey reasons, the F1 car today has changed quite a bit..

The Ferrari F1s feel better because imo they're easier to drive. The FGT has about 200 more HP than the Ferrari F1s and should be quicker, but it can be a handful, whereas the Ferrari F1s are much more controllable. It also means as you find the Ferrari F1s more controllable you're more willing to drive on the edge as you feel that you can control the car no matter what, but the FGT is a beast that requires a lot of skill and risk to be quick.

Its harder to control but its not regulated by the FIA so its a lot faster when driven properly.
I think no matter how much you drive it "properly" it won't be faster. The F1 cars have 5x more grip in corners.

Here we go into a little word play.

Faster: Highest speed in a given space/time. (i.e. Veyron on High Speed Ring)
Quicker: Lowest time from point A to point B. (i.e. Enzo on High Speed Ring)

Veyron might reach the highest top speed in the straight (go the fastest), but the Enzo will set a superior lap time (go the quickest) because the Veyron couldn't make a U-turn if you gave it an empty parking lot.

Same goes for the three F1 cars. The Formula GT is definitely the fastest, but there are several occasions and tracks where one or both of the two Ferraris will be quicker.

Now, this one requires an explanation. The Ferrari F1 cars, are exactly what they are, real F1 cars. It's not known exactly what the FGT is, i'll call it PD's personal F1 car.

Now, the FGT has quite a bit more horsepower than the Ferraris. It's faster in a straight line, but the Ferrari's are MUCH better in the corners. They make a lot more downforce. The FGT is also much harder to drive. Wit ha proper tune, the FGT can come closer to the Ferraris, but the Ferraris will beat it as long as there are corners.

The "drivability" all comes down to downforce, the fgt has leman race car downforce levels and the ferrari F1's have much more in the hundreds.

Go check the settings for the downforce for each F1 car and all will become clear.

The FGT is like a super powered beast, when driven properly it is fast, but it is not as technological as a F1 car of today. So thats why a Ferrari F1 is faster than a FGT.

Exactly what I was thinking last night, Its like an old F1 car with less downforce and much more power, thats why it can be a scary ride at times.

Its definately a different animal than the current F1 cars

Simple, it's a GAME, so the FGT is from PD and the Ferrari... (drum roll)... is from Ferrari, so they probably had a gun to someone's head when they programmed the car in the game and the boss probably said: "Don't **** up".

The Ferrari F1 cars...can they be used in A-Spec or B-Spec?
I've been under the impression they are "useless".

You can't use them in any events, as far as I know. But, driving them around in practice mode is an awesome experience IMO.

Um, yes, that's what I meant. I use "faster" because to me the only definition to that is point A to point B. I don't care what car gets the highest speed in a given space/time. I'm glad we both agree the F1s are "quicker" anyway.

The FGT IS an old F1 car. The F1 cars in the mid 90's had specs really close to the FGT.

In other words, it's a rough dublicate of an mid 90's F1 car.
