Let me start off with a few simple declarations:
1. I don't care how you choose to play the game - play it however you want.
2. I'm not telling you how to play the game - you're of your own free will to do whatever you want.
3. Stop trying to justify what you're doing - see declaration #1 - and i'm tired of hearing it.
With that out of the way, the one thing I have to say here, the truth of the matter is: you're cheating.
It really is that simple. You're using an improper method to advance through the game. That's cheating. End of story.
(There's other forms of cheating out there, and they're not what this post is about. So you're not advancing your A-Spec/B-Spec levels through duping. You're putting the cars you want in your garage faster than someone who doesn't dupe, thus advancing though the game.)
I'm sure all the haters will come out of the woodwork to dissect this post and try to dispute what I have to say. Good for them, I guess. I don't welcome it, because it's pointless.
I'm sure there will be post after post with the interpretation that I have issues with duping. (So what if I do? I'm entitled to, just as you're entitled to whatever your opinion is.) As far as this post is concerned, the only issue I have is with the lack of acknowledgment by dupers that duping is cheating.
I'm sure there will also be posts galore telling me that I'm on some sort of high horse preaching that they're doing something wrong. I'm not. This ain't about how one chooses to play the game, it's only about the acknowledgment that duping is cheating - nothing more, nothing less.
What I think is right or wrong is irrelevant. How I choose to play the game, and my reasons for such are also irrelevant. The same goes for what you think is right or wrong, and how/why you choose to play the game you choose.
In conclusion, don't tell me you're not cheating. Just admit that you are, and go back to playing the game.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to get back to my B-Spec Bob who's grinding away the Dream Car Championship for me to earn more credits.
(Yes, it's not as skilled an approach as A-Spec is to playing the game. However, it is indisputably a proper method of playing the game that the game was designed with.)
