speedy menus after patch to 1.06 - thanks PD ;-)

After patching, I went shopping for tuning parts today and found the menus a lot more responsive than the sluggish menu operation before the patch.

This has been one thing, that annoyed me pretty much with GT5 from the beginning.

It is a lot better now ;-)

Now I hope, some irregularities in menu operation are fixed as well - makes the whole experience more pleasant.
 
I also noticed this. I don't think the Tuning Shop menus can go load any faster then they currently do. :P
 
Same for the Garage ... don't have to wait ages .... generally helps ... still think a few of the confirmation stages could be eliminated ...
 
I'm really happy with PD after this patch. I've been gaming enough to know that patches like this one can be a rarity, but thank you PD for listening and applying.

Better exp, menu speed, and the adjustable sensitivity for DS3's, love it.

And GT Auto still takes forever :lol:. Good work from PD though 👍.

Mine does especially. It's hilarious how PD removed the pop-up window to make the game load faster, yet on mine it made the game load up even slower than it did before.

And to be honest, I haven't noticed a difference in menu speed, either. If anything, I noticed my garage loading insanely slow yesterday while I was updating my myGT.net car list.

I remember when the last patch came out, someone said they thought the menus were "snappier", so I checked it out. While the game is loading there's nothing to do but count the number of 'shimmers' on the 'GT' logo. After the last patch it was definitely slower, for example before the patch (1.05) it would take five 'shimmers' to load the main menu after the beginning movie, eleven 'shimmers' to load GT Life from the main menu, eleven 'shimmers' to load GT Auto, etc. After 1.05 those took seven, fourteen, and fourteen 'shimmers', respectively. They now take about four and a half, eleven, and eleven, respectively. So even faster than before 1.05!
The biggest improvement is the speed you can skip through all the confirmations in the tuning shop.

Yes, it's easier to navigate thru the menus thanks to the faster download.
 
Finallly I can tune all my cars faster!!:)
 
Is it me or the events (races) load faster than before?

I usually saw the grid of cars in the upper part of the screen scrolling two times and now it barely does it once.
 
Yeah, the update seemed to make the entire game 10 times better.
