I seem to be getting bad updates or there is a bug somewhere in my game save (probably relating to my Lexus LFA problems) or my PS3 is brain damaged that is preventing the update 1.07 to function with any of my game saves where an LFA is in my inventory.

To be more detail, let me explain the whole process from the beginning.

I'm sure some of you know about my threads and comments about the glitched stock exhaust sounds from any LFAs I have or drive against which accured after the 1.05 update and has persisted through 1.07. Note that this issue is isolated around the LFA only.

Since then I have tried deleting and re-installing the updates several times to see if the problems would go away, which it hasn't, but now after the 1.07 update I cannot play my game save at all if I delete and re-install the update as I am greeted with the Error messege telling me I need to free up some space, which still has 129 GB available out of 149 GB.

I even restored my PS3 to factory specs (thats all my save data erased) and re-downloaded everything and started a whole new game just to try to fix this problem and its still present. I can't even copy my game save to another user as the copying is still Prohibited with messeges reading "Lock Copying Prohibited" and "Copying this saved data is not allowed" even after the 1.07 update.

I can play my game save if I delete the update and the sound for the LFA is proper IF the car is from the 1.00 version, but if its from the 1.07 version the engine, exhaust, and tyre sounds are muted, so I would have to buy a new LFA from 1.00 to not have these problems.

So I really don't know what the problem is. I have even destroyed all of my own game saves just for this one game to work properly and it still doesn't. I'm not even enraged anymore. I just feel like any experience towards a proper experience for me with this game is just not possible.

Any knowledge on the issue guys?

Well I am alone on this, but I figured out the problem and as usual its completely PD faults.

The reason I kept getting that error messege is because of my 1.00 version of my custom tracks for some reason doesn't mix at all with update 1.07.

I did a test specifically for this. I deleted the update AGAIN and started the game over, but this time I didn't mess with GT mode. I just went straight to the course creator and created about 15 tracks that I LOVE on Mt. Aso. When was I satisfied, I updated to 1.07 and was greeted with the error again.

So I'm pretty sure 1.07 has a corruption issue with the original code of the custom track creatior (at least Mt. Aso), which makes sense as the custom track data is saved between to the "Game Data Utility" file instead of the game save file (I have no idea why they would design it this way.), so deleting the utility file will delete all the tracks you created (WHY!? Why not just put them in a seperate file!?).

So now I have to deal with the downgraded shorter (went from a max length of 2.50 miles to now below 2.00 miles) and boring (the track is shorten for "ONLINE" purposes to keep the track from going into the high very jump prone area of the map) version of Mt. Aso, which is complete garbage since now I can't create the most exciting tracks that I could experience in this game with the A.I. and myself , all because of PD's incompetence for online user (I DON'T PLAY ONLINE, so WHY RUIN IT FOR ME!?)

PD is making a lot of bad decisions this time around. Being unique does not mean it will be good.

Its as if PD is trying to get me to stop playing the game or something, sheesh.

Thanks for the help guys. *rolls eyes*

I can install updates 1.05 and 1.06 and the game works fine with my save. But when I get to 1.07 it gives the 0x00000001 [841] error.

Mine gives me the error right after I redownload the 1.05 update... Why is this different for all of us? But yes, I can also confirm that this is because of custom soundtracks. I'm just keeping my save and expecting PD to fix it with 1.09. Playing on 1.00 is getting WAY too old...

Alot of people have been having this problem, i got tired of waiting for a patch so after getting to 30 a spec and 26 b spec i deleted my save data, who knows, by time 1.09 comes out i might be back where i left off at.

Im getting this same error today with psn back up. Tried deleting the game save data again and reinstalling. No luck. Anyone know a fix for this?

Mine is doing the same. I know what caused it. I deleted the game data to go back to a previous patch while the network was off to do the 24hr nurburgring event by glitching. But then did b-spec from level 37 to 40 and golded all my licenses before I updated the game again. So when the network came back on last night I let it do the update and up came that message. So for now I've gone back to a previous save that I made before messing round with the game data and that has worked. So delete your save or back it up first then delete and see if the game starts. I tried everything from removing all game updates then letting game install files first before updating again. Nothing works so looks like it has corrupted the save.

I dont have any problems, since psn is back, my music plays during racing... and i deleted my data and copied old one and still everything works fine for me

Ran the 1.10 update after not having my PS3 for the past couple months. Last night I had to install everything from 1.07 up.
1.10 updated
- backed up Game Data (not save data) <--I think this may be where my issue is
- deleted Game Data (not save data)
- entered GT5 1.10 with no data loaded

Immediately I saw my old DLC gifted to me (Stealth McLaren), game started to boot up. But then BAM, right when I started to feel the love, the screen went black and the error popped up.

I think the Kart Racing gods are smiting me.

Dammit, I was hopping this would get fixed soon. I too am stuck on 1.06 and would appreciate some of the 1.10 updates features.

I never messed with custom Tracks, my LFA sounds fine. I did however load my save under 1.00 to see what the darkened out gear ratios would be, the game auto saved, I was F-ed. Haven't been able to get back to 1.07 or above since. I've gone through each update individually many times, nothing gets past 1.06 without that error.

When you guys say you're "stuck on 1.0x" and not able to run the game on 1.10, how do you know that? Sorry for what's probably a really elementary question to you all, but I'm running my updates as I type. Do I STOP (cancel) after each update has finished, disconnect from the net, and then try to run the game?

It's gonna be a long night, my updates just quit "Network Error" about 45min in....here we go again.
