jBhIpS was selected as the Judge's Choice winner last week, and he decided that this week ought to be a Graphics Week.

CCShaft7 took out the public vote, and the theme he has selected is Brand Sponsorship!

Further explanation of theme, which is chosen by Week 29 Winner, CCShaft7:

I'd like to see some mock ups of any car(s) in GT5 being used for any big non-car brand name promotion/sponsorship. You can logo your car(s) up with anything from Coca Cola to Apple.. Walmart, Fox, Macdonalds or even Sony... whatever you like, or use your car(s) in some sort of promtional literature in the same way. Ideally just one brand name for your entry so choose wisely and most of all have FUN with it.

And remember...
Be creative and have fun!

  • Photoshop or another image editing program MUST be used.
  • Each entry must have some part from a Photomode picture from Gran Turismo 5.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
  • No full-size images posted in thread; your entry will be ignored.
  • A preview image is not only allowed, but encouraged! However, preview images can
    not exceed 500 pixels in either direction. This includes borders or drop shadow effects.
  • Winner of the public vote gets to choose the theme for the following week.
  • Public vote winners also get to select the top 12 entries for the poll the following week.
  • When selecting the top 12 entries the following week, the theme chooser will also select a
    "Judge's Choice" winner, the entry which they feel has best captured the theme.
  • The Judge's Choice winner gets to choose whether the following week will be either a
    Graphics Week or a Manipulation Week.
  • A graphics week will be primarily graphic design and layout based, for example magazine
    covers, or movie posters.
  • A manipulation week will be primarily based on photo manipulation, for example creating
    race cars in game, or making multi-car composites.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

Being a Photoshop competition, there are no limits on editing. Use every tool at your disposal to
create the desired effect. Feel free to utilise HDR techniques, photo stitching, whatever you like!
Your only real restriction is that you must use some part of a GT5 Photomode image!
The main thing to remember is to be creative and have fun!

More to it than that really.... you can go down that route if you like but using the car to advertise something/anything other than the car itself. it could be magazine advert or brochuire with the car alongside "the product" to emphasise or compliment its brand.

It could be an in-action shot on track or a staged set-up shot. Think automotive, fashion, electronic, consumer related etc, something aspirational I suppose.

I'll leave it up to everyones interpretation :)

Hmmm this is a tricky one my first thought was a custom exhaust manufacturer but it seems a little too automotive based, Would Italdesign be considered passable and fit the theme, I know they do kind of specialise in cars but their literature does say,

The "mission" of Italdesign Giugiaro is to provide a wide range of services dedicated to the production of new vehicles and industrial objects; services ranging from design research to the design, validation from the prototype. From concept to the real object.

So to me they see themselves as more of a design company, Thought I would see if it fits the theme before I get any ideas.

Unless my original exhaust idea is acceptable that is ;).
 
@ghostrider135 I think maybe either of your suggestions could work but I'm intrigued and swaying more to the Italdesign concept you've come up with ... if you can pull something off thats not too "automotive" but thats not to rule it out completely would be interesting to see.

@Fido ... 👍 no problem at all with your entry, what is more "corporate" than a major sporting event these days ? :sly: like what you did with the 500 BTW :)

a snooze would be great right now! But there isn't enough time for such nice things...not anymore Mr. Gorbachev! :irked:

Graphics week!? hmmm, I suck way to much for such things. I need to learn this stuff sometime. But I may give it a go:sly:
