Best club/Lobby scene for clean driving?

I am going to be trying to join a club or online racing series as the lobby hunting does not provide the clean sim experience I crave.
Hoping someone with experience can point me in the right direction.
Most interested in Spot racing in similar non tuned cars or spec type races.
Not as interested in a series as scheduling conflicts always going to be an issue etc.
Is there an environment/scene stressing incident free racing that races regularly enough and is welcoming new people? If so, let me know.
 
I would recommend going to where it says "club's & leagues" and check for yourself. Most the people there are serious about racing, in other words don't crash into you just for fun.

I would have told you to go to "legend of the streets", but you said you don't want to get involved with tuning.. Although I don't think there is a club with stock cars, but you should check first in "club's & leagues" and see.
 
You could also make one yourself. I do recommend this 450 SS one.

I have checked out one league already. Not my thing or all that strong/regular. Looking for actual advice from people who like the league their in and why. I expect it will be hard. That's why I am soliciting advice here. I figure if no one is here to support their league or invite people, my search might be fruitless anyway.

Tuning not my thing. To me it implies you are so competitive that you are looking for a tuning advantage and willing to put the time in to get it. I want a spec or stock series that limits how much time I spend wondering who has the best car. I do intend to make my own if my search fails, but don't expect anyone to follow me into it.
It would be based on current/existing seasonals and parellel the A and B spec mode races and settings. If I have to. I will reach out there and try it.

I honestly think the amount of people willing to organize/search and adhere to a schedule as well as be told what to race and how is pretty limeted though, but I am checking.

I highly recommend 'PureGT', one of the best clubs around for clean and fun racing, most of the events are 'series' free so no commitments, and clean racing is our number 1 priority so incidents are very rare, and you'll find that if one of our drivers does accidently cause an accident, they'll pull over to let the affected driver back through out of courtesy.

We do also have a couple of non tuning events every week which provide some very close and fun racing!

All new members are welcome as long as they are clean! I was in the same boat as you a while back, and decided on PureGT for the clean driving and friendliness. The link to the site is in my signature if youre interested :)
 
I joined LZRacing about 2 months ago and can highly recommend it. We have scheduled races every Monday and Thursday. On Monday there is a C-class race of 6-8 laps using a lower powered spec car, a B-class race of a mid level race car (this series it's 550pp touring cars on Racing Hard tires) and an A-class with 690pp racecars on Racing Soft Tires. The racing is clean and fiercely competitive. On Thursday's there is a spec class race. I really can't comment on that as my schedule has never allowed me to race in it.

There is an independant website just for LZRacing which is nice for discussing the races before and after. There are also a fair amount of impromptu practices sessions and the various lounges of the membmers.

You best bet for clean racing without joining a league is to host your own rooms and enforce your rules. You'll eventually meet other drivers that want to race as clean as you.

I'm not very good at tuning. But sorry, people don't tend to like same-make racing more than rarely. It limits creativity. And the only way you are going to get two different cars to be competitive with each other is to introduce tuning.

I do ocassionally host a public room around the theme of the current seasonals (which are more tuned cars, by the way). I haven't done it in a while, but if you start a club around that idea, let me know. I like the chance of getting to use those cars more than once.

Well you should have said that to begin with.. How am I supposed to know what you're thinking?

I fully recommend "legend of the streets" because they are clean drivers, there isn't a time line to race or to enter, you DON'T have to tune, but it is recommended due to the fact most people will.

[Edit] I think most places you look into "club's" will be clean racing.

The organizers of the highly successful 3 seasons of the Cappuccino Cup are launching both a Spec Alfa Zagato Series on SS tires in a couple of weeks, and a Lounge Network for clean drivers featuring both tuned and stock lobbies. Lounge memberships will be limited to 100 clean drivers (that's PD's limit not ours). All skill levels will be welcomed, anyone can organize an event at any time but some fixed events will be run by the organizers and associates. A couple of others including PappaClart and Heathenpride are working successfully with this concept but one is Euro based and the other is Aussie based so the timezones don't quite work for us North Americans.

Basically the way the Lounge network functions is that we set up a few PSN ID's that serve no purpose other than to provide a Lounge. Up to 100 people can "friend" the lounge so if you want to race with 99 of your friends, you don't need to all have each other as friends, you just have this one lobby as your common friend and you all gather there to race. Kind of like having a home track but it's a home lounge.

There will be a lounge dedicated solely to the Alfa Cup. 4 different race dates per week for 6 weeks, weeknights and weekends, no tuning, SS tires, extremely clean and professionally run but a great group of guys and a casual atmosphere. Another lobby for the Cappuccino, one for Spec Racing and another for PP based and Tuned car racing of any kind. More lobbies can be added if necessary it's unlimited.

Great sound, great handling, little oversteer even on SS tires, a beautiful, responsive, classic racecar, lots of fun to drive. There may be some series on GTPlanet that are as well run, but none are better. From the graphics, to instructional videos, to the layout to the constantly updated points and standings everything is top notch. Check it out, even if you don't join.

Hi gravity, Legend of the Streets (LotS) is a league which has grown pretty much from one person into a group of likeminded people who enjoy the League's concept. Whenever I host a room, I will constantly promote the LotS league to any new player which joins.

I'm proud to say that there's a bunch of great people in the LotS (which I call LotS Regulars) who are more than willing to help out any genuine player who wants to enjoy the "Touge" as we call it. There are many people who are more than willing to share their tunes. Although they don't publically announce it, if you ask, many of them will chip in their thoughts.

The only thing I can say about LotS which turns people off is the Tyre Selection. Not many online lobbies like to run on Sports Hard. But this tyre compound will also at the same time filter out randoms from joining. Words aren't all that great. Come and join the lobby for yourself and experience it.

Also, each season, we get players to only have only 'one' car per-class. So this will help with learning to tune as well, as you pit your car against registered players for 3 weeks and see how much you have progressed with your tune. I'm not that great at tuning, but I can see that my car which I use for LotS has gone a long way in terms of balance and suspension tuning, and that took 3 Seasons to do so.

Yep, we should have something setup very soon that's pretty much exactly what you're looking for. We will have dedicated areas for PP racing and Spec racing, so you only need to join/participate in the one you're interested in and you'll know everyone in that lounge is there for the same thing. 👍

There is a big selection of clean racing forums. You just need to try a lobby or two in each and see what suites you best. Remember, fast isn't important, fair play is.

The best forum is the forum where fun and friendship are above all else.

Iv'e tried many times to run comfort soft and/or sport hard rooms and the drivers just arent there. I find them the most beneficial and easiest to predict and yet SS rooms are so few. (my opinion forthcoming) If u start off with a casual group using racing tires, especially softs, I think the limits you'll reach are hampered. Plus, and honestly, its just such an unnatural level of grip for standard cars to have.

PS: ^^^I don't think its wise to promote another forum on GTP. Could be frowned upon.

The web site does not list clear instructions on how to join or meet up with others. I see the events and that it is a forum unto itself, but how to join or find racing without registering eludes me?

Man, I am trying to hit all these up and it is frustrating. Link to email did not work. No instruction on how to join. Maybe I should try this from the Threads for Clubs etc.

Clear instructions on how to join or make connection with members is not high on the priority list of any of these leagues. Striking out so far :(
Got a friend request out to Timber for Touge/LOTS, but the other three are a mystery so far. I hope the ORCA and LOTS scene I am checking out pull through. Fingers crossed

Keep in mind that ORCA hasn't really launched yet, we're still figuring things out, but it will be based around and with many of the same guys that have run 3 seasons of the Cappuccino Cup and the upcoming Alfa Zagato Cup and it's a great group of guys to run with, of all skill levels.

Im keeping tabs on it Johnny. Hoping for big things too. I am just so done with public lobbies I am throwing friend requests out everywhere hoping something will stick. So far I have spent 30minutes driving with you guys and I am trying to get way more practice/driving in than that. My Z is a little more prepared now so I might do a little better than two or three corners before you all check out next time. See ya soon

Sorry, we've just recently relocated to a new domain, so the new site is still sort of a work in progress. As we usually race in private lobbies the best thing to do would be to add the event organiser's PSN, and turn up to their lobby at the time specified in the event topic. It would also be a good idea to register, you can do so here.
