Further explaination of the theme by CCShaft7.

"Right, you've gone and written-off ("totalled") your ride and you're stuck until you get some
new wheels. Prove to me how truly good a photographer you are by snapping some 'scenics'
in and around wherever you happen to be. Keep to the tracks so no PhotoTravel and shoot
some landscape, architecture, natural beauty or close-ups etc."

Cars: None.
Locations: Any track setting.
Phototravel: Not this time.
Unique Restrictions: No car(s) in shot, no partial or minature filters please.

This Thread will answer many possible questions you may have.

  • Entries for the competition this week must be sent to the Judge CCShaft7 Via
    Private Message and not posted in this thread, any pics posted in this thread will not be
    considered for the poll.
  • Your PM must consist of a preview image no bigger than 500px at the largest side with a
    direct link to the full size image.
  • Your first entry will be your last, you will not be allowed to change your entry so be happy
    with it.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
  • Do not use a photo from your Gallery or post your photo shoot in your Gallery until after
    the competition (and poll if you made it) has closed.
  • Preview images can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
  • A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
  • Winner chooses the following week's theme and becomes Judge for that week.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
  • The Judge will select their favourite 10 entries and PM to the Host for the poll.
  • The poll entries will then all be hosted by me so that links cannot be traced to the owner
    of the photo.
  • The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
    It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until week's ends.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.

  • No post-GT5 editing, besides proportionally resize and rotate, is allowed.

Actually I'm currently having troubles.... All the shots I took are nothing but black... Is there a trick or certain settings in order to take scenery pictures??? It is really frustrating....
 
You may have to click your focus (square) on a car and move your camera around to shoot... don't focus or re-focus on distant objects, I found out the same problem as you. High shutter speed and focal length should do the trick 👍

I think this might be a tough theme for some to resist shooting cars and others may relish the challenge..... if your brave or crazy ( or both ) you might include some 'people' in the shot :crazy:

Will have a scout around the Garage to throw in a prize car along with anything Nato's offering 👍
 
Who's going to snatch a camera to take photos when his racecar is totalled at the Le Mans 24 Hours race?

So it must be taken on some tracks like Toscana wich is more like road not race track? Or it is simply about landscape, architecture and objects around every track in game (excluding Kart Space etc)?
 
Road or race tracks is fine by me, although I didnt think of Kart Space :dunce: mmm.. because of that being an indoor arena type venue??

.......... I will allow that track as well because I may have left it too late to change but you may struggle getting a decent photo tbh. But basically its all about non car photos 👍
 
How do I share my photo to the judge if I private it on Flickr ???? I'm hella clueless.... :(
 
MASSIVELY busy weekend for me coming up :crazy: so I'll leave this open til the latest I can ( and Nato lets me ) get away with.... Sun eve GMT is likely when I might be free to summarise a poll,
