STRATOS Road Car Challenge Results

A Big THANK YOU to all our competitors!!!

Wastegate
takes All the Honors with an absolutely AWESOME 75 Laps and Fast Lap by just 0.165 Seconds over slowpoke (Whose settings he used BTW) in the "Worlds Ugliest Stratos"

Closest finish AFTER 2+ HOURS OF RACING, seems to have been between NoQuarter & lotus350 with a mere 1.153 Seconds separating them. Second closest was between UB57 & eggmann with 1.478 Seconds between 'em! (eggmann however only had time to run the Race once, 👍 while I on the other hand had about 300+ Laps to practice!!!:irked: )

Oooooooooops #2! Forgot to mention that I believe at least the "FFF" (First Four Finishers) are also members of the "Over 40 Club"!!!

That's it for this Edition. Will try to work up a "Dirt Challenge" for those of you interested. Thanks Again...UB57 :D

Congrats to Wastegate!!! (Whose car by the way resembles the bubble car.) You don't happen to have a funny hat do you? :odd:

Congrats to slowpoke!!! (Whose replay opened up my eyes on a much better line thank you very much.)

WOOHOO!!! Can't believe I made it to the podium!!! :D

Thanks for a great race UB (and for the settings) and everyone for letting me take part! I had a blast!

Edit: Fast Approaching Fifty??? Yup that's me...

Funnily enough phattboy, I've been wearing this hat :dunce: since running round the track the wrong way the whole time for last Sunday's instant race. I do sometimes wear a flat cap, which other people tell me is a funny hat, but I refuse to believe them.

Despite being a late entrant, only started with around 12 hours to go I ran this race twice. The first run was a 74 lapper in 2:00'17.something which was close enough to enticed me to go for the extra lap.

Just for the record, my pitstops were on laps 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 62, 68 enabling me to run pretty much flat out the whole way. I ran Slowpoke's setup with very slightly firmer springs and an 80/85 ride height and my own gear ratios. It's often easier to sort them yourself than to try and put someone else's in.

Well done UB for supplying us with an interesting race and a great car. The number of entries confirms that as you were pretty much limited to the NTSC users who had Sharkports.

And thanks once again to Slowpoke, I couldn't have done it without you 👍
