dappaive got a 51" rear projection tv
what modes can i do on that ?
S-video cannot carry 480p. 480i is the maximum it can carry. (Well, technically it can also carry 576i PAL).1twojayS-video can only go up to 480p.
TexugoWich will get a better image? 480p or 1080i?

1twojayFor all you non-believers, photos taken directly from my TV
1twojayI would get shots of 480p compared to 1080i, but I can't figure out how to get my Plasma's media box (which has a MS slot) to capture the ps2's source.
tha_conOkay, some facts.
PS2 is not capable of 1080i. Only 480p max.
My theory is that GT4 includes 1080i ONLY for PS3 when it will release. Because PS2 cannot put out an HDTV signal, 1080i. Period. I don't even think Cutscenes can use 1080i. So while GT4 does support 1080i, PS2 does not, but this is a more than clear indicator that PS3 will support 1080i, and that we'll see a lot of games in 1080i.

SaintKamusjesus, don't any of you people ever bother to read other threads? it's 1080i UPSCALING not _TRUE_ 1080i, this is an old question that has been answered, yet people don't ever bother using the search button and start stupid discussions over this time and time again:
READ THE FORUMS BEFORE YOU ASK.
