Great News!!! GT4 US release might be fixed!

i've just talked to my friend at SCEA about GT4, he said they just received a beta copy of GT4 in english, but incomplete cuz its on a Single Layer DVD instead of dual.

they are currently looking for bugs in the NA release and i've told them the following bugs/mistake i've found

1) NO Garage in arcade mode
- hopefully my friend can find out whats happened here and might have a chance to get it back in the NA release

2) Mini Cooper S have a 6 speed gear box not 5

3) Ford SVT Lightning is FR not 4WD

4)Mercedes Benz E55, SL500, SL55, SL65, SL600, SLR does not simulate as an Automatic transmission

if there are any more mistake and bugs, pls post here, so i'll forward it to my friend

cuz we might help change GT4
 
Thanks for the opportunity, Hyde. Who knows they still can correct some minor items.

The performance and weight of the Gillet Vertigo '04 race car are far out of proportion. The real car has a 3 liter engine, +/- 400 hp and a weight of 950 kg.

And a button to switch off crowd cheering would be highly appreciated :)
 
certainly not a bug, per se, but the inclusion of a C6 Vette would be very nice. I understand that if PD hasnt modeled it yet it won't happen, but maybe he could check and see if it happens to be in there?

Besides that, I beleive you caught most all of the bugs already. And this is awesome news Hyde, I hope this works out for the best for the NA and PAL releases.

Not to be mean but who is your friend? Is he some sort of programmer or someone in the managerial level? I believe 2P battle is left out for a reason and not a bug.
 
Thanks for the info Hyde. Hyde is a believeable source hope they listen. PD and Sony better pick some of us for there GT5 Debugging stages to make sure the C6 ZO6 and C6-R are not FF with a turdo charged engine.👍
 
cool stuff !!! On top of the C6, for Godsake, get the Caddilac CTS-V and CTS-V race car in there, amazing cars, on par with the Mercedes and BMW competition !
 
Theres a difference b/w a mistake/bug and missing features and requested cars. Be careful what you ask for, because it may cause yet another delay in the release of the game.

From what I've read here, its seems bug-free but there are a few mistakes (Ford Lightning is RWD, Mini Cooper S has 6 gears and MB auto issue). I'll still take it as is though.
 
It would take PD weeks to get those cars in so whatever is in the Japanese version car wise will be in the us one
 
Honestly, I would wait an exrta 2-3 weeks just to be able to race those cars....( oh, and a 1991 mazda 626 lx 5 door too )
 
While we're wishing for cars, chalk up the '96 Impala SS and the Mercury Marauder. ;)
 
Audi RS6 must have the Automatic transmission simulation!! Just like the ones you posted above!
 
If pd would include 2 player memory card battle and paint shop, then they
could leve the rest as is, would be fine with me :drool:

I have a friend at Ferrari that says Michael Schumacher gives you a sneak peak at the Fiorano circuit in the US release of GT4 :rolleyes:
Sorry, not trying to be an ass, but I highly doubt you have a friend that works at Sony, who is testing GT4.

Anybody can make a claim of "I have a friend at Sony, and this will be in, and this won't" but unless there is proof, it's pointless to even believe it.
I can just see this turning into another requests thread, augh... :banghead:

the US en PAL version will be just the same as the asian versions. So we have all the same bugs, ... our dreamcars will be something for GT5...

The no save option at races!!!! Please tell them to get it right for the European Release to
 
They need to convert all of the metric to STD, like the weights, and torque measurements. If his friend does work there and is helping with GT4. Dont post car requests, it will not happen cause they will haft to get the car, take a crapload of pics, then model it. Dont waste ppls time. This thread is for getting the errors out of GT4, lets keep it that way. Also i noticed in GT3 an error that when you have the wheels turned all the way in one direction and were moving slightly or tapped the gas the car would do a 360+ degree spin in place. I hope thats fixed to.

Yeah, if they added back Garage to Arcade, Id forgive the rest. Im not holding my breath tho
 
We should give HYDE the benifit of the doubt befor we start bashing him.
this could be a turning point for the u.s.\pal release :bowdown:
 
It can be that we have more luck with that late release then the asian gamers
 
Whether he's lying or not I want those afformentioned issues fixed. Honestly who wants an AWD Lightning. I may not be a fan of Ford trucks, or trucks in general for that matter, but i'm definetly a fan of big smokey burnouts :) . besides with all of PD's delays I think they should have been able to avoid such obvious flaws as incorrect drivetrians. If your freind trully works for SCEA then tell him to slap some sense into KY if he ever meets him for delaying a game so much cause he's supposedly a perfectionist, then allowing said game to be released with some bugs that are just so stupid they should have been caught months ago.
