Bikes were being tested in the making of GT4, so it wouldn't be surprising to see them in the next GT.
Although i feel it defeats the purpose of an automotive enthusiast's game. Although, pitting would seem wierd, it would be cool to simulate bikes. How many games simulate bikes these days? |

Actually, I like the sound of bikes in it.

And how many cars in GT4/GT5 can/will keep up with the bikes?

on Fifth Gear they had a Ducati 999 versus a Lambo Gallardo....the bike won.
Not bad for shelling out 10 times LESS in cash. ![]() It was actually really interesting, twisty track and you could see all the advantages/disadvantages both forms of transport had. The bike shot off to the lead due to it's mega acceleration (even with the tiny contact patch), but you could see where the car caught up on the brakes and cornered faster, but out of the corners the Duke destroyed the Gallardo. Adding Bikes to GT5 (or preferably having a separate game) would be amazing. I say preferably a separate game becuase Bikes would VASTLY upset the balance of the game...why spend 10k on a crappy starter car, when it could get you an immediate 170 mph machine! |

It was however a very interesting test, but one that brought to the fore the advantages/disadvantages of each; however the main factor in any bike vs. car test is almost always the track. Anglesey is a good compromise for both; Nurburgring would always favour a car, while somewhere like Tsukuba would favour bikes (it was originally built as a bike track after all). |

Why is everyone worrying about which cars would beat the bikes? If they did put bikes in the game they'd make seperate races specific to the bikes. I've recently started taking interest in motorbikes so I reckon it would be a fun feature for vision gt. Interesting post RINGO, well spotted.

Only it would either have poor physics, or it would compromise the physics for the cars, you see to get an accurate simulation ofor bikes requires a different set of variables to the cars, combining both sets would have a negative effect on both, alterring one set to accomodate the other would result in one of the two being below par. Personally I think it's a **** idea even if the problems could be overcome, GT is about cars and only cars, even the name Gran Turismo is about cars and not bikes. If PD used GT5 development time to include bikes and work on an new physics engine to run alongside the car one I would be annoyed when theres so much more they can do to improve whats already there, theres so much that needs improving.
As for the GSXR1000 I believe it is a faster bike than the Hyabusa however it's limited to a lower speed than the Hyabusa's limiter. Even though the Hyabusa has a bigger engine the 100 isn't far off power wise, it's also lighter. |

Nah the Busa has the more powerful engine. 1300cc>1000cc
Suzuki Hayabusa GSXR1300 Weight: 485 lbs Power: 150WHP Rev Limiter: 11,000 RPM Power to Weight Ratio: 3.23 lbs/HP or .30 HP/lb Suzuki GSXR1000 Weight: 374 lbs Power: 141WHP Rev Limiter: 12,600 RPM Power to Weight Ratio: 2.65 lbs/HP or .37 HP/lb Power to Weight Ratio is everything on a bike. |
