Replay Checking:

1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

WOOOHHOOOOO!!!!

4th (or 5th?) overall and 2nd in D2 is something I'm very happy with I'm also comfortable knowing that I could not have beaten Ash or Yanaran if I'd have run my very best T3 on my fastest lap! Amazing times guys 👍👍

I notice that there are a couple of names missing from the list that are shown on the final leaderboard , and also that Gravitron and Poolhaas are shown in D4 when they got promoted to D3 already (Joost?)

Stand-out performance of the week has to be Lucas (Gravitron) - first week in D3 and takes the Division win with a D2 lap time. Outstanding job young man

This is closely followed by Ash who continues his relentless march to D1, and to Kristoph (Poolhaas) for a D3 podium in his first week in the division.

Here's my replay - outside front wheel is close on the second apex of the first chicane, and the whole inside of the car is close exiting Lesmo 2, otherwise it shouldn't present any issues for the verifier (thank you, whomever you might be).

I'm a little disappointed with my final result, as I had to disregard 4 quicker laps due to the fact they were just to close to call, & I didnt want to submit something that could of been DQ'ed

Certainly was an exciting lap to watch! I think you lost a chunk of time in the second chicane by 'squaring' it off too much, and you were VERY close to having three wheels on the green at the final Ascari apex (front wheel was clean by 6 inches or so I'd say) but good to watch 👍

Super clean lap, very nice to watch. If I may say so, you seemed to miss the apex in Lesmo 1 by some margin, was it deliberate? I also have now learnt where I was going wrong in T3 (too fast on entry into Ascari, wrong line into Parabolica) - thanks!

Yes I think you are correct.

Dan has handled the promotions just before he took off for his well deserved holiday, but those have not been processed in my list.

I'll check it tonight when i'm home.

Thanks Carlos! I already had a ps3 folder on my usb stick from exporting my replay, so I extracted his replay there and it worked. As for Lesmo it wasn't deliberate, I just missed it.

Think it´s a pity that some of the best drivers don´t participate (yes, i know that´s a personal choice)
but looking at this week and the last, the handicap system suffers a lot by this
and doesn´t really makes justice to all who gave they´re best.

Great job by all participants. I was surprised at how much traction this lambo had. I was happy with my final time. Although I believe my silver is gonna turn into a 4th place after the division promotions are taking into account. What comes after Bronze anyways,.....aluminum? Since my company went to the cloud I haven't used a usb drive for anything & i cant find it. I'll grab a cheap one somewhere & post replay soon.

One more thing. Is there a thread that discusses the handicap system & how all those numbers next to everyones name works?

I asked the same thing last week, so I'll just quote Joosts reply, he's talking about my handicap so just change my numbers for yours and hopefully it makes sense.

Everybody has a handicap, that is a number that indicates how well you perform and in which division you are placed. Initially your handicap has been defined by your qualifier (the SLS runs). Your time has been compared to the others and your handicap has been defined. The lower your handicap the higher you are placed (division wise). D1 has handicaps of 0.8 - 1.6 while D5 has handicaps of 6.

Every week your performance is compared to your handicap.

Currently you have a handicap of 4.7, but if you'd drive a D1 time, your time ends up between the guys with a handicap of 1.0 and such. This means that your handicap result is (1.0 - 4.7) -3.7. Which is very good, indicating you performed well above your league.

If you perform worse than your own handicap you've got an above 0 handicap for the week.

This mechanism is used to issue promotions, guys who constantly perform with sub-zero handicap results are likely to get a promotion.

So relatively speaking, you've performed the best of everybody competing.

Important note​

I've processed the new drivers and promotions from the last batch in the results, so there have been some (podium) changes!

The results from Tigdney, Tobbelob and WRP have now been included and the divisions of those promoted (of Gravitron, Poolhaas for example) are now correctly represented.

Everything should be ok now, but let me know if you still see anything that is incorrect.

I asked the same thing last week, so I'll just quote Joosts reply, he's talking about my handicap so just change my numbers for yours and hopefully it makes sense.

Thanks Joost! Congratz to Gravitron for inching me out by a hundredth for D3 gold... you must have made up almost 0.3 in T3... I knew my T3 was pretty weak, but thought the margin from T1/T2 was enough not to put in more laps... won't let that happen next week

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could load up an entire set of ghost replays at once in the replay center and watch them together... It would be really cool to watch our submitted replay ghost laps "compete" in real time on the track. That would be worth exporting to encoded video and including in the leaderboard site. I'd love to see what 0.01 looks like and how Gravitron passed me coming to the line. I guess for now I'll have to just imagine 💡

Thanks Admins, what a combo! I loved it. I had a bunch of laps that were a little slower, dirtier, etc, but I'm submitting this fastest lap of mine with supporting photos of the only real close-call, Turn 1. Looking at this for over 2 hrs, I couldn't find any spot that was dirty. The stepped rumbles make it difficult, so I'm taking a chance at a 2nd DQ. Not a good practice, but I think it's clean. As such, I will go along with whatever the reviewer and Admin's think is best.

T3 didn't feel much faster than my others, but it was smooth...👍
