Steward's Comments:

Nice job everyone!

Cheers,

OLR Team.

Important notices:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all required replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Provisional" and will become "Official" once all posted replays have been verified. After 7 days, all drivers who fail to provide a requested replay will have their lap disqualified. (Beware: disqualification isn't taken lightly within the WRS.)
Drivers who do not have a submitted lap posted in the results are not to post any information related to a laptime they might have achieved in the results thread. Any such posts will have the times removed.

Replay Verification Requests:
This week we would like to see replays for all indicated results. All replays are to be posted here.

Instructions on how to upload your replay can be found here - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3180607&postcount=2

Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Well done everyone - this week was a real nail biter :nervous: Great event though Kev so thanks for indulging us. And thanks to Vaxen too for the quick results service 👍

You D1 guys are just awesome - sooo fast

Pekka - outstanding mate  and I'm sure it won't be long before you're up in D1 (hopefully :sly:)
Joao - great lap my friend 👍
Lucas - outstanding effort young man, way to take D3 by storm 👍👍

Looking forward to watching the replays :)

Congratz to all who survived the vertigo this week.

Lucas you kicked my butt and everyone else in D3... fair and square.... nice lap! I'll try and return the favor next week even if it takes 1,200 miles in the Volvo. How many grocery runs would that be?

Way to go Blair for #1 overall spot on the Handicapped results. We are looking forward to having you in D3 some day very soon. 👍

All you guys at the top of D1 and D2... well...

Congragulations to Jet and Yanaran and Mad Max for taking the top three positions. You guys drove awesome.

All the blue crew (D1 Guys) you really put the hammer down.

Usual Suspect nice podium finish, you earned it. Biffy thats a really sweet time for a DS3 driver.

Graviton...you stayed ahead of me to the line.:) You got the D3 podium win. Thats doubly sweet.:)👍

MilleRSVR you ran a D3 time and a very respectable 2:58, you did really good.

Any of the rest who went as quick as you know you can realistically and clean...I salute you. I know I did.

Thanks Tim and Jack for the accolades, I have a long way to go to challenge you guys in D3+.

The WRS is a true test of speed and driver ability. It pushing me to be a better a driver. I'll realistically never challange the top drivers, but that's ok. I have a great time doing my best.

Thanks, guys, for the nice comments. :embarrassed: This one reeled me in WAAAAY more than I thought it would. Congrats to all who met their targets!

Good choice to be swayed into, Kev, nice to see you submit (in more ways than one). 👍 The clean/dirty pics were really helpful, though I know it's a pain.

Thanks Jonas for the great tune. Lightning fast times up top , you guys are hard-🤬-core.

Some new guys holding their own too, gooners, Biffy, viper84.

Every week that Tim and I compete here, I have to thank him for putting up the early time-to-beat, the carrot-on-a-stick, if you will. That usually sends me into "What the hell?!?" mode, and then we let the thousandths decide it. It's great fun. 👍 Thanks for leading the way, buddy.

Shame about Jon and Kristof not being able to submit, better luck in the future, guys. We'll miss ya for a few weeks, Jon.

My NTSC replay, suffix 030.

It was way more than thousandths this time that's for sure. Actually, I'm glad you put that lap together as I would have torn myself to pieces if I had lost gold to gooners by 7 hundredths in a 3 minute lap. I'll get my revenge tomorrow night in the 3D3 race, don't worry. :sly:

I checked your replay and it was easy work... no close calls. Times match and super clean:

Great job to all the podium winners and finishers.👍

I'm very happy with my finishing position. I know I left some time on the track but after taking a few days off I just couldn't get into a rhythm.:grumpy:

It was tons of fun though. I will get my replay up as soon as I can.

Well done everyone, especially Jet, way to take us for a run through the finish. 👍 and MadMax, for clearly not belonging in D2 anymore, great lap. 👍

I was hoping my finish would pull me to third, but good finishes throughout the top 5. 👍
It's a shame Mysteron didn't get more time though, I'm sure he could have easily taken a large chunk off his OT.

Sorry for the typo in my splits post. That 16.924 should obviously have been 26.924 :dopey:

Well done to all. Incredible fast laps submitted. D1 a full 10 seconds faster than me ... insane :D

Replay coming up shortly.

EDIT here is my replay.

Congrats to all podiums,
Completely suprised with 4th in D3 after watching myself slip down the leader board after having to call it a day, in the typical 'the one that got away' fashion I had a lap of 2'56.3xx in which I brushed and killed a bollard on the last chicane but never had time to replicate that performance.
Easily the most enjoyable WRS I've taken part in so far, thanks to all that organise and thanks to all that take part that make me push that little harder!!
BTW unbelivable times from D1/D2, excellent stuff guys, although I'm sure you must all be able to run GT5 in slow motion!!

I can't wait to see the video for this week, myself and these sort of cars don't get on, this being the main reason I didn't enter.

Congrats to all division winners and podium placers:tup:

Great job by MilleRSVR on placing in D3 territory 👍

Congrats to Madmax also on the overall podium 👍

Congrats to all Div. winners and podium finishers.

The D1 guys truely amaze me. I struggle to gain 7 tenths, and they beat me by 7 seconds.

Great job Graviton and WRP001 on your podium finishes in D3. 👍 (Go easy on me tonight in the 3D3 race you guys) :sly:

Attached is my NTSC replay.

Well done to all those who stuck with this frustrating combo.
Congrats to all podiums, and all those who achieved their target times. 👍 Special congrats to Pekka for his not so far off promotion to D1 ;)

Thanks guys, and well done to everyone who competed, this combo was tough as hell. I could find quite a lot of time, however trying to string a lap together was incredibly frustrating and pull my hat off to the guys in D1/D2, those times were amazing.

But I'm afraid to say that I think my lap is dirty, thanks to a tough exit out of the Porsche Esses, and at a very narrow margin. I am really sorry for this, but I was desperately trying to get a good, clean lap together last night in little time, and there were times where I messed up some great laps at ridiculous places (went off at the exit of the last chicane on one lap), so I must of been in too much of a rush to notice it completely, and it's a real kick in the face as the major challenge had been trying to get everywhere else clean and tidy. So if someone confirms it as dirty, I will accept it immediately. A shame for my first WRS venture to be like that, but rules are rules, and I guess it's a lesson not to leave submission as late as I did.

Anyhow, here is my replay, PAL:

I don't participate for a week and max becomes an alien, really great job on 3rd overall mate 👍

Lucas, you are becoming the man in D3. I suspect we will be fighting it out for positions soon :scared:

Well done to everyone in all divisions.

Congratulations to the winners and the podium placers of this tough week. 👍

You hit 2 bollards in the Esses in sector 1.

I have to confirm that your lap was dirty. You left the track with all wheels at the exit of the last of the Porsche Curves.

Here is my replay.

Long day at work today, or maybe that's because I only got 4 hours sleep last night. I was done with my laps and had submitted a 51.859 when I saw both Chris and Dom posting updated splits. I knew Chris was only a few tenths behind me and inching closer, and who knows what that Mad(man)Max is up to when he posts splits like that - so I sat done for one last session when I should've gone to bed :). I only managed to improve by one tenth but I know I had a 51.5 in me somewhere. It shows in my replay where I have two pretty big slides and a few moments of hesitation in tight corners... Not very happy with how my final lap turned out (looks like a madman is behind the wheel, whereas my .859 looks clinical in comparison) but can't complain about the time or my place. :D

Big congrats to Jet for showing us again that D1 gold drivers always seem to find an extra gear in the final section. Stunning time from MadMax, there seems to be something about you + high speed... I'm thinking back to the GVS week where you where faster than anybody through the high speed kink in T1, and now this. 👍 Thanks also to CSL for the tips on suspension tuning, eventhough I ended up running almost max springrate (it felt more precise in the turns which helped in T6+7) and Vagabond for the moral support when I was getting paranoid with dirty laps ;).

Big grats to Gravitron for a commanding D3 win. My splits on this lap is not the same as on the leaderboard so if you want to keep your table accurate here are my actual splits:

27.895 - 26.600 - 17.806 - 18.511 - 26.076 - 27.301 - 27.579

I think I'm going to sleep for a few days now and then I might try the 24h Le Mans while the track is still imprinted in my brain. :sly:

Here is my replay. This week was so much fun, really glad I took the time to tame the Sauber.

I still haven't been able to view other peoples replays but I think I figured out the problem and will try later. I've been using 7-zip but must be a complete idiot.

You could minimize some of your shifts to save some time. You shifted a lot through the Porsche Curves, a couple times downshifting, hit the rev limiter and then went back up. Nice job.

How do I post the green flag?

👍

Fantastic job Jack and Jonas - in a class of your own this week. 👍 My best lap said I'd have pipped you Jonas but a dirty chicane ended that dream... :yuck: My fastest sectors pointed to a lap time of 2'51.0xx, which is of course impossible for someone with my lack of consistency. No matter how good I can make my sector times, the skill to sew them all together is beyond me. The real skill this week was in consistency and you both displayed that superbly. Excellent job. :)

Pekka and Dom - damned close guys 👍 Fantastic job both of you and less than a tenth between the 3 of us. Had to be me bringing up the rear though eh...? :sly: Great close race anyway, chaps. Pekka, be seeing you in D1 soon I reckon. You've been improving steadily week by week - great job mate :scared:

My T6 was 27.273 and T7 27.8something (hesitated coming out of Porsche) My best T6 and 7 were 27.125 and 27.638 respectively but again, getting them in on an already fast lap was more than I could manage.

Shame you coasted to the line there Ron - part of me thought "Yeah right, coasting at full throttle" :P

Another good podium Joao 👍 ...slipped it in last minute again? :sly:

Congratulations to everyone who managed a division podium and the usual slap on the back to everyone who survived a particularly high stress week. I enjoyed it immensely despite all the dirty laps - my favorite combo so far, many thanks Kev 👍 Improved by 2.7 seconds over the week.

Thanks for reviewing mcfizzle. 👍 You have to click on the small picture of the computer screen (for lack of a better description), and then paste the URL into that. Hope this helps, I had trouble doing it myself the first time.

Thanks guys, got it. Some of us are very slow computer learners.:dunce:

I'll never forget now though.
