Nice job everyone!

Important notices:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all required replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Provisional" and will become "Official" once all posted replays have been verified. After 7 days, all drivers who fail to provide a requested replay will have their lap disqualified. (Beware: disqualification isn't taken lightly within the WRS.)
Drivers who do not have a submitted lap posted in the results are not to post any information related to a laptime they might have achieved in the results thread. Any such posts will have the times removed.

Replay Verification Requests:
This week we would like to see replays for all indicated results. All replays are to be posted here.

Instructions on how to upload your replay can be found here - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3180607&postcount=2

Congratulations to all who participate, division winners and podium

Pekka, you´re becoming an alien  and thanks for amazing tune 👍

Jack, great fight (on splits :sly:) 👍

Energizer, great first week 👍 wasn´t expecting but it´s this that makes this competition great

A word for Hydro and otxjto, well above their league 👍

The question for me is: "Was there a shortcut on T3? :dunce: :dunce:"

And a lesson, if you can, keep on trying to improve, as i left this week on Saturday thinking that i had a good time :yuck:

Congratz to Pekka for the overall win. 👍 I think a *lot* of people used your setup or a variation of it this week, but still your lap and execution was the one that ruled them all.

Congratz to both Hydro and Hasslemoff for ending my streak. All good things must come to an end.

Congrats to otxjto for jumping two divisions and running a D2 time.

RIP Dan Wheldon and Marco Simoncelli

Here's my replay.

Now you're all invited to go 14 weeks back in time and race with us at Fuji.

Well done everyone!
I'm very pleased with my result, a podium on first ever WRS after just a week of wheel useage, good times!

I spent over 4000km on this event but what's funny is that - I managed to shave off 0.150 seconds in the last hour, thanks to Yanaran's tune.
Actually, if I had more time I would have bought a new one since my FGT has developed a badly damaged engine, but I was in a huge rush to finish on time. Another funny thing is that this lap was my 2nd ever 24.5 split, I just couldn't get that T2 right - even with my current time my T2 is 12.6.
I'm stunned at MadMax's time, well done man, you don't look like Division 2 at all!

Again, I'm very happy with this result and this is what I aimed for, a podium.
Cheers guys, replay will be posted soon.

PS - Big thanks to MadMax & Yanaran for posting their tunes.

Had a great time again this week, congratulations to everyone. I was having a hard time with this combo until MadMax posted his tune, then i really enjoyed driving it. I still have a long way to go but very happy with my time. So thanks for sharing your tune and congratulations. And again, thanks to everyone that makes this happen.

Here is my NTSC replay.

Yep that was cool of Pekka/Mad Max to share his tune altho i highly doubt its the same tune he drove on his fastest lap but it got everyone in the ball park who couldnt tune the car themselves.

Big congragulations to you Pekka. Not often does a D2 driver have a shot at the overall win. I went for it with both barrels myself only to find I had no ammo thru T3.

Well I want to say congragulations and way to go to so many people theres just way to many to compliment.

Smokes Viper Wilco You guys drove DS3 and well. Smokes I know you switched to wheel like I did and dang like I did you did pretty dang good.👍

Yanaran and Usual Suspect and Energizer and Of course Madmax and Hydro and WRP001 and Gravitron and MilleRSVR and...well you all drove wheel and very well in your divisions you did some personal bests thru all your sectors or some crazy low times thru a sector or just got to the T2 checkpoint in an extremly low time and I noticed.

This TT it seemed alot of people had their moment in the sun and thats cool.

Heres my NTSC replay.

Congrats on all podium finishers! 👍
Pekka, it's time you get yourself into D1, you crazy Fin ;)

Rest peacefully Dan Wheldon and Marco Simoncelli

Congrats to all who reached they're goal, to the podium finishers and especially to Pekka :) Sharing your tune, and even taking the overall win! Congrats mate :)

Well done to all podium finishers, especially my friend Pekka 👍

I submitted in time but my time was not processed because I accidently copied 'subject title' into the subject title of the PM :dopey:

Doesn't really matter because my lap wouldn't have podiummed me anyway :D

Smokes Viper Wilco You guys drove DS3 and well. Smokes I know you switched to wheel like I did and dang like I did you did pretty dang good.👍

Thanks for the kind words Jack! I just couldn't swing that car through with the DS3, and I tried most of the week with it too, I should have plugged in the wheel earlier than Sunday night. Thanks to Max for posting his set up. Congrats to everyone, I'll post my replay after I get home from work.

RIP Dan W

Revenge of D2... :mischievous:

Nice win Pekka 👍 On a roll with that FGT... :sly: Unlucky Jonas but nice one to you and Thomas for representing D1 this week. I really couldn't find the time to run this one what with Spa being released and taking up pretty much all my spare time. :P

Well done to everyone out there - times look pretty close across the board.

Congrats to the podium winners, and to all of the drivers that managed to finish ahead of their own divisions

otxjto, what can I say? D4, running D2 times... very nice run this week, congrats
I think you'll see from the replays (watch Jack's if you have a minute) that you could have been even faster had you used all of the inside lines.
Great run 👍

Unreal first sector Jack ;) that was the T1 I was trying to get :D

And Tim, the streak had to end sometime :( you didn't really think D3 was going to just sit and watch you keep pummeling us did you?
I fear we've rattled the beehive though, and I'm looking forward to some close finishes, and tight races in the weeks to come.

@ hasslemoff: Nice lap! but you totally screwed up a 3D3 podium sweep :(
Congrats on a great run ;)

Great laps, and times guys 👍

Pekka, what is left to be said?
Amazing run, great tune, overall win.
 👍

Congrats to all podium finishers. 👍

It was a difficult week for the DS3 drivers. It was hard to find a setup that works well in turn 1 and is still driveable in sector 2.

Well done, guys. Thanks Kevin for a fun combo, quick reaction to the Spa delay. 👍

-Awesome win, Pekka, well deserved.
-Congrats on your 2nd D3 Gold, Hydro!
-A hand for Hasslemoff, new guy rattlin' the beehive
-4000km Energizer?!? You deserve the podium with that determination.
-Super quick lap, Jack, we need to get you on a wheel more often!

👍👍👍

Replay later.

/!\ LONG POST AHEAD /!\

I skipped reading the results post and scrolled down to read replies.

I got this far:

Congratz to Pekka for the overall win. 👍

And quickly scrolled up to check the results.

Allright!! , amps up:

Congratulations to all who participate, division winners and podium

Pekka, you´re becoming an alien  and thanks for amazing tune 👍

And a lesson, if you can, keep on trying to improve, as i left this week on Saturday thinking that i had a good time :yuck:

Becoming an alien , not likely.
I felt I had ok time at sunday too , till that point I had been using Red FGT borrowed from my alt acc. (bought from UCD , 4550km + oil change)
On monday I set a 0km OCD bought + oil changed Blue FGT online on my other account and used it for the final session.

The best way to come out of last turn was on the rumble.
Last turn is ~50% of sector 3 and ~30% of sector 1 .

Congratz to Pekka for the overall win. 👍 I think a *lot* of people used your setup or a variation of it this week, but still your lap and execution was the one that ruled them all.

Now you're all invited to go 14 weeks back in time and race with us at Fuji.

Thanks , this really made my day 👍
I had posted my setup in the "TT20 Chasing MadMax" thread alredy ,
so I felt natural to let everyone know about it.

Thanks for the reminder about the Asaparadrink 3D3 Race.

Well done everyone!

One week with the wheel , first week at WRS. Excellent performance. 👍

When I saw Yanaran post his setup changes I thought I was done for. (24.3 at T2 )

I called it quits about 10 hours before the deadline when I beat my theoretically fastest possible lap of 44.072 .
That was very unexpected , after over 20 hours of driving and collecting fastest splits.

Congrats MadMax86 for taking the overall win 👍 and to all the winners

Thanks , my first overall win.
Also first time D2 overtakes D1 in GT5_WRS history. :sly:

Had a great time again this week, congratulations to everyone. I was having a hard time with this combo until MadMax posted his tune, then i really enjoyed driving it. I still have a long way to go but very happy with my time. So thanks for sharing your tune and congratulations. And again, thanks to everyone that makes this happen.

That's a very strong performance there otxjto , well done! 👍

This TT it seemed alot of people had their moment in the sun and thats cool.

Congrats for your first overall podium Jack. 👍

My final settings differed on suspension part a little and the gears were completely remade into a 4 speed setup.

The moment in the sun must mean either a spotlight or getting grilled.

I wouldn't have spent as many hours at this combo if it wasn't you and UsualSuspect beating my sector times early in the week.

By the way , are you possibly considering using the wheel in future WRS events aswell?

Congrats on all podium finishers! 👍
Pekka, it's time you get yourself into D1, you crazy Fin ;)

Here's a look in the past: (unedited as it was posted here )

Wow. Just wow. *clap clap clap clap clap* I am just stunned and impressed at those numbers. So much so that this story must be added to GT4 folklore. :P

In the GT4 tuning world....first we had Leo and Greycap, the Mad Finn Tuners. Now we have Max, who just takes the word mad, flushes it down the toilet and goes absolutely insane with his drag tunes!!

Meet MadMax86, the Insane Finn Tuner.

Awesome efforts all around. 👍

I wonder if RJ has another crack at the record??

PF, looks like I have to go back to the drawing board my friend. :P

Talking about tuning and drag racing , I went back to GT3 to chase the "Holy Grail" of 1/4 mile tuning , a 7 second pass.
Got a sore thumb but managed a 8.001 in Polyphony001 .

[/drag racing while waiting for a real drag strip in GT5]

Congrats to all who reached they're goal, to the podium finishers and especially to Pekka :) Sharing your tune, and even taking the overall win! Congrats mate :)

Thanks!
Sharing the fun is what it's all about. 👍

Well done to all podium finishers, especially my friend Pekka 👍

I submitted in time but my time was not processed because I accidently copied 'subject title' into the subject title of the PM :dopey:

Doesn't really matter because my lap wouldn't have podiummed me anyway :D

I was suprised to not see you in the results Steven , the copy paste error should be no big deal.
I've done that in WRS atleast once before.
Can't remember if I contacted the moderator or was it the other way around , but my time got added to the results.

Congrats on the top time Pekka 👍 Well done all other winners too.

Thanks Mike.

Revenge?
Oh right , you must be talking about the icehockey world championship between Sweden and Finland.

Congrats to the podium winners, and to all of the drivers that managed to finish ahead of their own divisions

@ hasslemoff: Nice lap! but you totally screwed up a 3D3 podium sweep :(
Congrats on a great run ;)

Great laps, and times guys 👍

Pekka, what is left to be said?
Amazing run, great tune, overall win.
 👍

Thanks Marc.
D3 3D3 stewards podium sweep would have been maybe too many trees. :sly:

Congrats to all podium finishers. 👍

It was a difficult week for the DS3 drivers. It was hard to find a setup that works well in turn 1 and is still driveable in sector 2.

I tested this combo with a Sixaxis and could barely complete any clean laps ,
because of the first corner and mainly the limited turn radius.
You really had to hit the line perfect to make it thru those oval turns without losing too much time.

RIP Dan Wheldon
RIP Marco Simoncelli

Rest in Peace.

Sector times on my submitted lap: 11.965 / 12.482 / 19.609

Greeting the pit crew passing finish line.
I was really just squeezing the wheel hard trying to keep it pointed straith.

Wohoo! Podium!!!! :dunce:

Congrats to all podiums and Mad Max in particular. 👍

I really shouldn't have submitted with so little seat time.

Edit:

Revenge?
Oh right , you must be talking about the icehockey world championship between Sweden and Finland.

No I think he was referring to the fotball European qualifier in Stockholm in June...

MadMax86
D3 3D3 stewards podium sweep would have been maybe too many trees.
You take that back!
I'm going to take another run at the FGT TT Seasonal trying your tune to see if it gets me a better time (I ran the WRS event with your tune and improved by .2xx over mine).
This car likes to slide a bit to improve lap times, and my setup is really grippy, never loose 👍

Here's my replay: NTSC

Thanks MadMax, didn't hear that song in so long 👍

Oh and nice read aswell

Big congratulations Pekka, you really deserved it :). I knew from testing a few different suspension setups that 10/-3 ride height was roughly a tenth faster in T3, so I almost didn't want to post my last splits and take it away in the 11th hour. I'm glad you managed to squeeze a little bit extra out of it. 👍 I think my last split was about 19.750.

In the end I couldn't bring myself to go 4 wheels off even though it was allowed in this event. Going right up against the wall in T1 is worth about .020 compared to the line I take in my submitted lap, and riding inside the curb in last turn is worth about the same. Doing both still wouldn't have let me catch the crazy fin though. ;)

Great laps also jack and Hydro! I'm glad Energizer found some time with my tune adjustments. I'm starting to shy away from max/min ride heights more and more I find, to me the cars just seem to behave much more the way I want them to with neutral height and more negative toe to induce oversteer instead. Obviously the trade-off is straight-line speed which was my achilles heel here, but in more and more situations I find I'm doing faster laps without the ride height "tweak". Still, I'm glad I could help by moving the "par" times a bit. :sly:

Thanks Thomas for not leaving my out there as the sole D1, now we can share the blame for letting a D2 driver get an overall win for the first time in GT5 history. ;)

I'll fetch my replay after dinner

I'm having problems getting Ealirendur's superior splits script to work, so here's my older hacky one for now:

Phenomenal lap, well done.

Anghammarad, your file is corrupted and I can't extract it.

Thanks Viper for verifying my result. 👍 44.700 on a pad :scared: well done man.

Oh, and I mustn't forget this,
RIP Dan Wheldon.

I tested this combo with a Sixaxis and could barely complete any clean laps ,
because of the first corner and mainly the limited turn radius.
You really had to hit the line perfect to make it thru those oval turns without losing too much time.

I just wanted to give you a green flag but I think two are enough. :)

Hitting the line in the first corner worked on about 30 % of the laps with my final setup. Breaking into the second corner was quite tricky because the car had to be loose to get through the first corner. Somehow I hit the perfect line in turn 3 which resulted in the third best T3 time.

Another green flag , thanks for the thought.
My setup when using Sixaxis looked very similar , thought I used -0.20 to -0.40 rear toe for more oversteer with full downforce.
