I've been a silent user for GTP for a very long time. Now I want to share my livestreaming set ups. I tried to bypass the HDCP protection but failed miserable. But after a few tests here and there, by using GoPro is the best set up for me.
Here's is my simulator set up :
- G27
- Taiwan made frame
- SONY LED 42"
The goal
============
To livestream/record multiple angle camera at once
I have 4 cameras in my arsenal
============
1. GoPro 3+ with HDMI out
2. MacBookPro internal webcam
3. Logitech External USB webcam
4. Panasonic CamCorder HDMI out
And 1 HDMI Encoder
- Teradek VIDIu
For streaming server I use Wowza Media Server ( http://wowza.com ) and for managing the camera feed, I use Telestream Wirecast 5.Tried XSplit Broadcaster but the FPS is slow.
So have a look to my diagram above, GoPro and Teradek will provide 1 feed. I use HD quality for this feed. I use MacBookPro to host another camera ( #1 and #2 ). The feed from USB camera will be grabbed by Telestream Wirecast in MacBookPro and sed the feed to Wowza Media Server ( also installed in MacBookPro ). At the point you'll have 3 live feed running in sync.
But to make these feeds into a single video , you'll need Telestream Wirecast 5 on another machine. I use MacMini and Wirecast 5 to function as MCP Switcher.
Wirecast 5 have the ability to pull the stream from Wowza as RTMP feed, so you can get pure high quality streaming as video soutrce. As alternative you' also can use Desktop Presenter to capture the video.
That's how its look like in Wirecast 5. I use 2 camera in this test. use the PiP feature in Wirecast 5 , and you can put as many feed as you want in single video feed. When you're ready, you can capture or stream to your favorite live streaming service.
Teradek VIDEO HDMI encoder
Continuous feed from GoPro3+
The feed status to local wowza server installed on macbookpro
I think this is the best view using GoPro super wide angle at 1080P 60FPS
My labs
So that's it. Until I can find the solution to bypass the HDCP protection, this setup works perfectly for me for recording and livestream
My 1991 E30 project
- M40b18 engine with 5 speed manual
- bucket seats
- straight exit exhaust
