Forum width size

I was wondering what is the actual forum width size when we use it as normal (not wide screen)?

Actually, I'd like to know what's the biggest width size of picture we can incorporate without the forum automatically resize them to fit in the window.

810px if my maths is correct. 980px max-width on the container, 140px margin on the post area, 15px padding either side.

810px is the maximum width when viewing the page at its maximum default width, which will be seen on most desktop browsers. However, it's worth keeping in mind that images will still be re-sized automatically on smaller screens for tablets and mobile devices, which now used by half of all visitors to GTPlanet.

Thanks for this detailed answer Jordan. And yea I know that images are re-sized on mobiles devices or tablets as I often browse on my phone myself. We'll just insert a sentence in our OP saying that the thread looks better on a computer
