Who's got their exams coming up? Just thought i'd create a thread to help people share experiences, final results, revision technigues and other stuff. To get things going i've set up a questionaire that you can fill in if you want to:

1. A-Levels or GCSEs?
2. When did you start revising?
3. How did the coursework go in general?
4. What and when are your first and last exams?
5. What exam are you dreading the most?
6. What results will you be satisfied with?
7. Why are you not revising now :)?

If there are any questions that haven't been asked that you would like ask yourself then feel free to do that.

Higher English on Friday the 13th of May... First exam.
Can't wait... :indiff:
Still don't know many quotes so I guess I'd better cram some into my head before then.
I'd be happy with a scraped pass for that one tbh. :lol:

18th sociology most likely going to fail and 27th economics going to try get anothe A again to prove my teacher wrong.
4. What exam are you dreading the most?
general studies I suck at english and essay writing so I feel I am definatly going to fail
5. What results will you be satisfied with?
ones which exceed my target grades
6. Why are you not revising now
tiredness, lack of motivation.

A Levels (A2)

2. When did you start revising?
On and off from about a month ago

3. How did the coursework go in general?
Only have coursework in 1 subject this year, IT, but am also repeating last year's IT coursework so there was a lot to do, I hated it, but the provisional A2 cw grades are good AS hasn't been marked yet


4. What and when are your first and last exams?
Geography 1 is on 17th May, last is English on 27th May

5. What exam are you dreading the most?
English Literature

6. What results will you be satisfied with?
Need a BBB to get my first choice university offer (but would be still be happy to go to the second choice) I'd be happy with BBC.

7. Why are you not revising now?
Went on the internet to download past papers, ended up here:ouch:
 
I have about 6 or 7 GCSE exams starting at the end of this month. They include: Economics, Science, English and R.E. I have revised some but I will revise according to which exam is next so I don't get too confused lol.
 
I'm in Year 9, so I've only picked my options for GCSE's as of yet. We start our courses at the end of June to get us in to the swing of things.

For the question "What exam are you dreading the most?"
Mine would definitely be my French GCSE exams. To think I only picked French for the Baccalaureat.

Haven't yet

2 Pass's (c) in IT, 2 Merit's (b) in PE, and averaging C's in English literature

4. What and when are your first and last exams?
First exam's in start in a few weeks and the last ones are in late June

5. What exam are you dreading the most?
Electronics without a doubt, i'm and absolute fail at that subject, stupid transistors and whatnot, I only chose it because I thought I would be soldering things all year (like in years 8 and 9). A massive miscalculation. :dunce:

6. What results will you be satisfied with?
At least passing everything except electronics, and turning my maths and english C grades into B's.

7. Why are you not revising now :)?
Still can't be arsed
 
Gah, I've got my AS exams coming up - Maths x2, Accounts, Physics x2, Economics, Financial Studies x2 :(

Need AAB at A2 for most Uni's, with Sheffield wanting BBC :/
 
A2 Math (C3 only)+AS (C2+M1 Again :D ).AS Physics (:lol: )and O.L Arabic (Easiest O.L for me after I.T)

I am Pretty much 🤬 In Pretty much all of them .

Middle of March

Got A's in Photography and Product Design coursework, Geography and Biology has no coursework

4. What and when are your first and last exams?

First was Photography last week, last is Biology Unit 2 on 26th May

5. What exam are you dreading the most?

Biology Unit 2

6. What results will you be satisfied with?

AAAB

7. Why are you not revising now ?

Just finished 2 hours of Biology

Last week.

Only Coursework for music. I expect A's in both Performance and Composition. Only person in the class who's finished.

4. What and when are your first and last exams?

General Studies Unit 1 in 2 weeks. Music Unit 4 at the end of June.

5. What exam are you dreading the most?

Psychology Unit 4.

6. What results will you be satisfied with?

ACC

I'm repeating AS Physics at the moment whilst doing A2 Music and Psychology. From looking at previous exams I have offically passed all three subjects without doing the final exams, but with a C and two E's! So I plan to raise that considerably in these final exams.

Just curious, why more in Y10? In my school we had 1 maths in november Y10 and then 3 science and 1 maths exam in may/june.

Mid April. Intensive revision starting now as coursework is all out of the way.
3. How did the coursework go in general?
Fairly happy everywhere but physics where I got a C/D which is compromising my final grade quite a lot. :(
4. What and when are your first and last exams?
English higher in 2 weeks and then physics june 17th
5. What exam are you dreading the most?
Graphics. Doing it next year but the grade boundaries are quite high and we haven't been told our coursework result.
6. What results will you be satisfied with?
I hope for all passes except RE which I don't care about but I would also like an A or two.

Oh right, errrrm.....

Cause I'm accelerated in science and maths so have those exams a year early.

Triple science as one of my options is this year.

History has 1/2 of its exams this year.

For us we had to do all coursework for history and both exams this summer. Are you accelerated because of intelligence or because of racing by the way?
