GT5 Glitch

I have noticed that when i've been playing in the recent GT online seasonal events on the Eifel or Toscana tracks the background tears across the skyline in an arc. Take a look at the image and let me know what you think

If it was a rainbow then it would be rather pretty but there is something clearly wrong. Is anyone else having these problems?

Are you using 1080p or 720p (both TV and PS3 settings)?

I had a similar glitch on GT4. Whenever I went onto Infineon Raceway (either layout), the sky would break up and start changing colour. It would sometimes go entirely black with small coloured blocks in it. Anyway, that was then, this is now. Just thought I should mention it.

I have been playing on 1080i for a while but got a new HDMI cable and was somehow able to play in 1080p.
