i just removed my g25 paddle shifters because its useless in my drifting preference. unlike in other steering wheel which is 240 degrees, the paddle shifter is useful, but with a 900 degrees, i no longer have a sense which is up and down which cause shifting errors making it just useless for me, aside from that, i can't hold the wheel properly because i keep on hitting the paddle shifter, another is sometimes it gives me sore finger for hitting it or a bleeding nail. so i decided to remove it, at first i hesitated to open up this expensive thing, but it was easy.
remove the allen screw. to remove the wheel. do not let the wheel to fall since there will be a wire connecting it from a circuit board in the inside.
pull that blue pin downward connecting the wheel and the circuit board, there is no special clip so it will just slide downward (not sure with other models though).
unscrew the circuit board
unscrew this only to remove the paddle shifter
now return it all in place.
place the paddle shifter somewhere you can find it back, so you can still return it if the need arises.
