Who said there's no drag racing in offline ? :D

Time trial

Test track or other track with long enough straight - depends if you want a race to 250km/h or 300km/h.

Stop right before the starting line

Launch the car and reach whatever speed you want

Complete the lap

Save the "Best Lap Replay"

Exit

Pick the car you want to drag race against the previous car

Top Gear did a drag race between Lamborghini 670SV and SLR 722 and I always thought 670SV should've won it seeing a bit more extra power, 4WD, and 200kg less.

To replicate the 722 I lowered and stiffened the suspension (by 10mm) and added Stage 1 engine tuning bringing it to 648 - close enough to claimed 650.
___

Load the 670SV (or whatever) ghost

Position SLR right before the starting line....

...and launch it

After witnessing the glorious victory of the Lambo, take a Gallardo tune it to 600hp and ponder about 670 SV price.

The race between the SLR McLaren 722 and Murcielago LP670-4 SV was decided right at the start as Hammond didn't get it off the line quick enough.

In your case, it was the same driver, in different cars.

Top Gear is an entertainment show. It's made for fun and amazement, not boring scientific car tests.

That aside, GT6's straightline physics are pretty broken for some cars (235mph in a stock SL55 anyone?). Your replicated 722 specs add further inaccuracy. And the real SLR is powered by an automatic shifting considerably slower than the perfect shifting manual it has in GT.

All that aside, LP670s win everything and rule the world anyway. :D
