PS2 with AirPort boradband?

I've got a friend who's trying to get his PS2 online. He asked for my help, but I am a PC guy, and not familliar with Mac stuff. He needs to somehow connect the PS2 up through his AirPort network. Now, I believe AP is just 802.11b, right? So will a standard wireless ethernet bridge (the ones that specify PS2 compatibility) work normally?
 
Yup, AirPort uses the 802.11b/g standards. Does he have the "Extreme"? If not he only has 802.11b capabilities. Though most USB network adaptors that can do G will also be able to do B, so he should be set to go.
