Complete with high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects and an immersive sound experience, the fear that was originally brought to players in Resident Evil Revelations on the Nintendo 3DS™ system returns redefined for home consoles. Furthermore, the home console version will deliver additional content including a terrifying new enemy, extra difficulty mode and improvements to Raid Mode such as new weapons, skill sets and the opportunity to play as Hunk and other characters from the series. Raid Mode, which was first introduced to the series in the original version of Resident Evil Revelations, sees gamers play online in co-op mode or alone in single player, taking on the hordes of enemies across a variety of missions whilst leveling up characters and earning weapon upgrades.

The critically acclaimed survival horror title takes players back to the events that took place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 and reveals the truth about the T-Abyss virus. Resident Evil Revelations features series favourites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, plus respective BSAA partners – Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat. The action begins on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship, the ‘Queen Zenobia’, where horrors lurk around every corner, before players head for the mainland and the devastated city of Terragrigia. With limited ammo and weapons available the race is on to survive the horror of Resident Evil Revelations.

Resident Evil Revelations will take full advantage of Residentevil.net with content available to users once the game launches. Players can pre-register on the service from January 24th to gain early access to Resident Evil Revelations themed content with further information about online events to be revealed closer to launch.

Looks like mix of worse story ever in RE series which was in Veronica + great RE 5 style gaming.

Big Biohazard fan so Must have for me this title is :) Cause not Nintendo fan am I.

After the disappointment that was Resident Evil 6, I think this
is the very least Capcom should have done for us fans.

I mentioned this before. It looks like they are going to release some sort of RE every single year. Seeing more and more developers doing this. Same with GOW, COD, Forza, I am sure Halo will do the same thing too. I am guessing Halo 2 anniversary will be annonced this year 2013 or next year 2014.

Demo is now available on psn US and EU stores. 442 mb. Worth playing before you buy

Well the demo isn't much more than 10 to 15 minutes of playing. Shooting to the same monsters doesn't really show game true potential.

I guess ill wait for price to drop heavy, not like it was during RE6 released. I liked RE6

Edit -------

Game leaked so ill be checking it sooner than expected :)

I have to say after 15 hours of game play that this game is more horror than RE5 and RE6 cold ever dream of.

And i like it. 👍

Claire Redfield is the playable lead and will be joined by Barry Burton's daugther Moira Burton.

Will take place between RE 5 & 6.

Can be played single or co-op.

More survival horror oriented.

1080p at 60fps on PC, PS4 & X1.

Claire will be more combat focused, but game will be less over the top action than RE 5 & 6.

Fan feedback has played a part in the development of Resident Evil: Revelations 2.

Capcom
Evolving the episodic chapter set-up of the original Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2 will initially release as a weekly series of episodic downloads. Each of the four episodes will feature hours of terrifying gameplay ending with dramatic cliff-hangers that will leave players fully engrossed and anticipating the next twist in the gripping horror story. A digital download option of the Complete Season will also be available to ensure fans can get each episode as it rolls out, and a retail disc version will arrive following the final episode. Both the disc version and the Complete Season will include additional game content, which will be detailed in the coming weeks and months. With the variety of options available, Resident Evil fans will have more choices available to them than ever before.

The game will first launch as a weekly series of episodic downloads. Four episodes will launch over the course of four weeks, each for $5.99. The complete season, which includes “additional game content,” can be purchased for $24.99.

The disc-based version, which will include even further additional game content (to be detailed at a later date), will cost $39.99.

Story synopsis

The beginning of the Resident Evil Revelations 2 tale sees fan favorite Claire Redfield make a dramatic return to the horrors that haunted her in the past . Survivor of the Raccoon City incident depicted in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organisation Terra Save. Moira Burton, new recruit and daughter of Resident Evil legend Barry Burton, is attending her welcome party for Terra Save when unknown armed forces storm the office. Claire and Moira are knocked unconscious and awaken later to find themselves in a dark and abandoned detention facility. Working together, they must find out who took them and to what sinister end. With the terrifying Afflicted enemies waiting around every dark corner, players will need to use their ammo and weapon supply wisely, in classic survival horror style. Will Claire and Moira make it out alive and discover what’s led to them being taken to this remote island? Who else will they come across? A story of twists and turns will have players guessing the next step at every turn.
