Agreed. I could make such a chart in Google Docs my website. I think with the new wave of consoles and wheels it could help a lot of people :gtpflag:

Here's the LINK. I'm sure it's chopped full of errors, but maybe someone can help with that ;)

Jerome

Thank Jump_Ace for making a much better chart! 👍

I was expecting to see an actual chart. Constructive criticism: I'd put in more time in researching -- I'm pretty sure you're missing information on some of those wheels. For instance, I know for a fact that the DFGT, G25 and G27 all work on PS2, not just the DFP. The format is also less than ideal. Putting all the information on a chart would be less bulky and make it better for using it as a reference. If you want to use pictures, maybe resize them all to the same size to ensure uniformity and making your post look cleaner.

I don't think Logitech will be compatiable with the ps4. They have said they were leaving the console market. That would mean no drivers sent to the developers. So unless they change their previous statements Id say Logitech is a no go.

I think Sony already has the necessary drivers since they made it work on the PS3, I would 'think' that they could use those drivers or tweak them for the PS4? *shrug*

Any volunteers to help me fill out the compatibility chart? I'm not 100% sure on a lot of them, I'm assuming the Senso wheels are just PC compatible. If you know of another wheel that I missed, or know for certain if a wheel is or isn't compatible, just reply here or shoot me a PM 👍

That's a pretty old quote. I'd feel better with an official Sony announcement, or confirmation from Thrustmaster or Logitech.

it's from Col Rodgers, Game Director on upcoming PS4 racing game DriveClub. Evolution studios is the same dev that made Motorstorm, and Driveclub is published by SCE

he must be in the loop

Pretty good! Why not change the order of the columns so all PS consoles are together? same with Xbox.

To my knowledge, Senso wheels are not compatible with normal PC games. Only their own proprietary software and certain other simulators not generally available to the public. That is what I recollect from having email conversations with a rep from the company itself about a year ago or so. Does anyone have more current info? Also on the spreadsheet link you have the CSW marked as incompatible wih PS3, when it shouldn't be. I'm not sure about the PS2 and he original XBOX but shouldn't it be the exact same as the CSR Elite except for the XBOX 360 compatibility?

Only reason I even mention Logi is that they make one of the two officially licensed PS3 wheels. And honestly, if PS4 will have legacy wheel compatibility, I don't see them cutting out Logitech... unless they intentionally go with whatever FFB system the Thrustmaster wheels use, and really how much better would that make Sony than Microsoft? Well, I guess a little better, if you own a T500.

And I know the Drive Club guy is probably in the know, but that's still a quote from June and things change fast... ask Microsoft! LOL.

If PS4 chooses to go with the USB HID standard like it did with PS2 and 3, then all wheels that work on the PS3 will work on the PS4, simple as that. Even the DFP (originally a PS2 wheel) will work on the PS4.

Good idea, thanks man.

Good to know, thank you. I'll remove the SENSO wheels then.

I will also add pedal and shifters later on too, after we get the wheel base compatibility down.

Okay here are the ones I'm unsure about, and again, please feel free to correct me on anything else missing/inaccurate:

  • Fanatec CSR/CSR-E wheels compatible with the Original XBox?
  • Fanatec Porsche line wheels compatible with the Original XBox?
  • ECCI Trackstar 6000 compatible with Playstation 2, Original XBox, XBox 360?
  • Frex GP compatible with Playstation 2?
  • Mad Catz Force Feedback & Force Feedback Wireless compatible with Original XBox?

Anyone else find it surprising no one has done this before?

Nothing not specifically made for the OG XBOX will work on the OG XBOX. It's kinds how M$ rolls.

ECCI isn't supported on console AFAIK, although it MIGHT work on Sony systems if they use the Logitech style FFB system and USB, kinda like Fanatec does.

Pretty sure all the FREX wheels work on Sony systems as they use Logitech DFP/G25/G27 PCB's.

Great, thanks so much guys! I'll update the chart.

Okay and I missed one yesterday, will the CSR/CSR-E work on Playstation 2? I'm assuming no.

And I thought Hori just made awesome arcade fight sticks, but it sounds like they should stick to that  I'll add it to the chart.

Ah good catch buddy, thanks.

I started the pedal sheet, is that all of the manufacturers?

I'm thinking there are just a few shifter and removable wheel manufacturers too. I'll get to those in the near future too 👍

Okay I think I'm done with the chart, I added pedals and shifters charts. I'm probably missing some other shifters and pedals. Just let me know if something is missing or inaccurate. Thanks!

Jerome, the ECCI pedal set (2-pedal set or 3) works with the PS3 and PS2 as long as they're connected to a Logitech wheel (DFP, DFGT or G series). The TH8RS is supported on the PS3 as long as you're using a T500RS as a wheel.

Are you sure that all the Logitech wheels, like G27, will work on PS4?

I'm considering buying one to play on the computer by now, as we don't have any game that support it yet on ps4, but I would like to buy one that I could use on my ps4 as well.

As the need for speed rivals does not have support to racing wheels, I think we need to wait for the second racing game to be released to make sure it works...

I have them in green because of this article mentioned earlier:

http://www.simdriving.net/news/all-ps3-compatible-wheels-to-work-on-ps4

Since Drive Club is postponed, I'll leave them as green for now. I will try hooking my CSR-E to my PS4 and see if I can browse menus and what-not. Although I don't know if that will necessarily prove it will work for racing games in the future or not.

I have a non-founded suspicion. Someone else mentioned that their T500RS calibrated but wouldn't control any of the menus when connected to the PS4. Something tells me that once the first wheel-compatible game for the PS4 is released SONY will release a FW update adding wheel functionality for all wheels that worked with the PS3.

Do I hope you're right.:nervous:
