StarLight Garage presents the Yeti Xtreme Concept, like any car ... you will like it or not, there is nothing in between shall we say.
Skoda has revealed yesterday the brand-new 2014 Yeti Xtreme Concept which will be showcased on May 28 at the Worthersee in Austria. The new 2014 Skoda Yeti Xtreme Concept is described as a compact SUV with rally car ambitions and comes with a more racing exterior.
On the outside, the Czech prototype has received a muscular body kit with larger air intakes, flared wheel arches and a height-adjustable chassis. Furthermore, there are two hexagonal exhaust pipes and an underbody protection which offers a more rugged appearance for the concept.
"We want to continue the positive development and to grow further with new models over the coming years. Therefore we are going to strengthen the emotional vibrancy of the brand. Skoda Yeti Xtreme – as a dynamic and powerful compact SUV concept – demonstrates the brand’s strong expertise in four-wheel drive technology, as well as our know-how when it comes to rally sports", says Werner Eichhorn, Skoda Board Member for Sales and Marketing.
Under the bonnet, the 2014 Skoda Yeti Xtreme Concept features a four-cylinder, 1.8 liter TSI gasoline engine which can deliver 150 horsepower and 250 Nm peak of torque. The resources are sent to both axels via a six speed DSG gearbox. As a result, the Czech concept can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h in nine seconds, while the top speed is clocked at 192 km/h.
Speaking of performances, Skoda Yeti Xtreme Concept has also received Octavia RS-sourced brakes, four individual Recaro seats with four-point safety belts.
Inside the cabin, the Czech concept comes with carbon fiber accessories, aluminum door panels and a thermos flask built into the holders.
