The narrow mountain roads of Speed Mountain have lead the locals to designate one road for going up, and the other for coming down, creating a loop between the bottom and top stations. This road closely follows the rise and fall of the mountain itself, creating many tricky corner entries where the road kinks and crests just as you need to start shedding speed. It isn’t only hairpins, as there are a number of high-speed kinks and sweepers to test your nerve too.

The first section ascends to the plateau in a series of bends, starting off quite fast and open and becoming more tightly wound as they near the summit, culminating in a more-than-180-degree first-gear climb.

Reaching the plateau, you can stretch your legs with a fast run towards the top station, before a flat left swirls into an epic, tightening-radius right-hander that will have you puzzling whether to brake or turn. Leaving the top station the road runs straight through the trees to the start of the descent, which opens with a sweeping right over crest, through a kink and straight into the first hairpin at 120+mph.

Further down lie more tests of your skill, with wicked kinks right on the approach to hairpins.

Finally you reach a back-to-back pair of 180-degree bends, perfect for drifting, which open out onto the back straight.

Run along the roofs of the pit garages, before another tricky stop for the final hairpin and back down to the finish line.

Recommended cars: 450-550PP, CS or SH tyres. A lap time under 5 minutes is decent. CS tyres on a stock car can give good close races against the AI.
