Swinderby 2016 2016-02-18

Flat circuit based on the actual perimeter roads and one runway of the former RAF Swinderby, closed in 1995 but still extant. Circuit laid out from a Google maps image, provides mostly medium to fast corners in a satisfying layout, good for both driving and racing as there are out braking ops. 200mph possible on start-finish straight, no problem with the 600metre limit here. The idea was to produce a circuit in the same mould as other traditional former air-base circuits, like Silverstone, Goodwood and Thruxton, and I am certainly enjoying the results. takes a few laps to learn the best lines through some of the turns, especially the final turn.
