Apologies if this thread should be somewhere else but I was wondering if anybody had a picture of the same car but from each of the four main variants of the game, it could be a "showroom shot" if need be but I'd like to see the improvements made in each version and have not found anything despite various search terms. Thanks.

Which 4 games? Be specific, because you're on the borderline of speaking Spanish (meaning we can hardly understand you).

I would assume each iteration of GT - that's the only possible way for it to make sense.

GT1,2,3 and 4, come on, what forum is this? I'd assumed that on GTplanet having mentioned the four main variants, it wouldn't take a lot of working out.

ah, i get it, but i don't have all the games, only 1, concept and 4

Like this?

GT2 Skyline

(I couldn't find one for GT1)

Looking at that GT2 pic of the blue Skyline was a bit of a shock to be honest. By modern Gran Turismo standards the graphics look so bad in it. OK it was PS1 compared to PS2 graphics, but I remember playing GT 1 and 2 thinking the graphics were fantastic back then. Hopefully the jump from GT 3 & 4 on the PS2 to GT 5 (& 6?) on the PS3 will be just as impressive.

It better be, or else i'll loose all faith in the series. I just won't accept a GT4 part II on the PS3, if thats all it becomes, i'll use the disk to wipe the sin from my back side and mail it to PD.

Because there's 7 games (Maybe another 1/2 if you include Toyota/BMW demos.) :dopey:

I understood it but it could have been clearer
In the very first post, I said the 4 main variants of the series, how clear do you need?
It doesn't matter now, some people understood, you didn't, don't feel bad.

Someday, all games will get to the maximum limit of good graphics, then they will have nothing to improve in, except for putting more things in it.

I don't know how accurate this is, but I'd like to think that the in-game graphics would be the equivalent of the shot in the intro where you watch the cars speeding out of the pit lane.

If you need a car to compare, try and find the Corvette GS.

To my knowledge, it and the Viper GTS made it through all 4 of the games.

I couldn't find my memory card for GT1, so I could only choose cars the cars available from the start of the game in arcade mode for comparison. The only one that was available in GT1 from the start that I had in the others was the RX-7. I didn't want to be fiddling about, buying cars and swapping discs for GT2.

Anyway, here are some pics...

Gran Turismo RX-7:

Gran Turismo 2 RX-7

Gran Turismo 3 RX-7

Gran Turismo 4 RX-7

A couple more to show the detail added in GT4...

(Notice you can make out the Mazda badge)

Another small comparison of the R33 Skyline from GT1 to GT4

Thanks, that's just what I was looking for, much appreciated. 👍 👍
