The basics:

  1. You can modify your car's top speed to your liking.
  2. You can use any tire compound/tire combination for qualifying.
  3. You must start the race on the same tire compound/combination you qualified with.
  4. You can set the AI up however you wish, as it doesn't matter in this series.
  5. You are allowed to discuss your qualifying times ONLY!
  6. You do not have to vary your qualifying/race start tire combo from race to race.
  7. Most importantly, have fun! :)

Ok well im gonna have a run at this one as no one seems to be interested yet. Its gonna be hard to keep it clean this week and tyres for 30 laps hummm, what to do??
 
Never enjoyed racing here for some reason .. trying three different tyre combo's and an appropriate A1 setting for each .

Hope and trust everyone is staying away from the walls :crazy:
 
This is a fun one for me although 30 laps seems a bit much for my a.d.d. :dopey:

within a few complete races I found some lines to keep me away from the walls with little trouble, however with the ai settings I'm on now there are a few minor scrapes on the first lap but no forced pit, I'm assuming that is o.k. also coming out of the pit some arse smacked me in the rear so I hit the brake, again no forced pit. As we all have said untill blue in the face....."I wish the ai was better in gt4"

When I come out of the pit and there is traffic coming up from behind, I tend to keep the car to the outside lane of the first turn that goes down into the tunnel. This makes makes it lesser likely you'll get totaled in the tushie from a intelligence-impaired AI-driven racecar going full throttle.:sly:

💡 This has me wondering if a possible improvement for GT5 would be an on-screen indication of when a car is coming out of the pits if you're approaching pit-out on the main straight.
 
Hum its hard to think of anything to say when we can't chat about ot other than the Q laps which iv not done yet. But i will be cheeky and say my calculator has come in handy this week.

This was a fun race for me as well. I don't usually go onto the Clubman Stage Route 5track often, but my familiarity with its Special Stage counterpart came in handy for me for this round. All I needed to get used to was the on-ramp section that came after the esses.
 
I am sorry I missed this one. Seriously, when I returned from camp, I had like absolutly none interest in playing GT4...and I don't know how long it will be like this...:ouch: I am now out of fight for driver's championship. And tomorrow I am probably going on cottage for additional 2 weeks. Another race missed, niceee 👎 :grumpy:
 
WAIT!?!.....The Schedule That I Printed out when this first started said August 16th for this race....grrrrr....and I had a excellent time and everything.
 
Meanwhile, we wait for the posting of the Round 3 results with baited breath...:drool:

If so it was modified on July 16th when the series started, must be when the date was changed? not sure but it sucks to work hard at a 30 laper and miss the deadline for sure :guilty:

Forgot to thank CAMikazi for the pit tip, although I changed my ai stratigy to be sure, oh and I am also awaiting the results.

Maybe I need to push a little bit harder.
This Ren-Tec guy makes me nervous... :nervous:
Anyway congratulations goes to him and to Marty/Delfino too for his first ever DTM win at Trial Mountain. 👍
