Vehicles must be production or concept street vehicles (IE no rally or race cars).

There will be four classes actually...

FWD
RWD
AWD
N3-tire.

FWD, RWD, and AWD are S3 tires only, but as wild on price as you wish and as wild on power as you wish. Now's the time where that Stage 3 NA tuning that is pricey as hell looks good because while not quite the power output of the best available turbo setup the power delivery is better. Wings are allowed, drivers aids are not.

N3-tire is open to FWD, RWD or AWD vehicles and is the class I want to see the most critical thinking in. Since the tire grip is lower, car choice and getting the suspension right will be fairly critical.

So... Go.

Post your setups in this thread, and then in about 2-3 weeks I'll make a post with the judging criteria and links to the cars.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV '96
'The Evo X of 1996'
IMG0000-4.png

This car has been in development for about 2-3 month's, working on it every now and then trying to perfect it and bring it up to par with the new Evo X, and I think it's finally ready, so I've entered it here and expect to see it destroy the competiton, as it's now comparable to the phrase "The Evo X of 1996"

Parts list:
Semi-Race Exhaust
Port Polish
Race Chip
S3 tires
Stage.2 Turbo
Sports Intercooler
Racing Brakes
Brake Balance controller
Original Suspension
Twin-plate clutch
Carbon driveshaft
AYC
VCD
Stage 1 weight reduction
Chassis refresh
Oil Change
New wheels (optional)

Settings:

Brake Balance: 8/10

Suspension:
Spring Rate: 6.8/8.0
Ride Height: 86/110
Shock Absorbers: 6/7
Camber Angle: 2.5/1.5
Toe: 0/-1
Stabilizers: 5/6

LSD:
I: 11
A: 46
D: 8

AYC: 115
VCD: 37

Notes: The car was built with WRC hairpin behavior in mind, so as long as your agressive enough with the steering, the car will rotate through a corner, shift at 7K rpm, and I suggest you drive it around at 70% at first to get a feel and learn how the car is built to handle, and kick it up from there lap after lap, this car will fly, but only if properly driven 👍

It is recommended that it be driven with a Driving Force Pro, as it was built from scratch with mine, and difference's between it and the controller may pop up as it is tested, however nothing but time will tell.

Now to just watch the rest of the class burn down...:mischievous:

Notes:
The first car I ever entered into a Tuner Cup at GTP was a black Supra, so as a tribute of sorts, I enter this into TCv4, a new Supra RZ, in black. You may consider Supras to be to prove you wrong. Power and torque is plentiful, as expected from a twin turbo straight six making 357 horses. But it’s the handling which sets this Supra apart from others. The cornering speeds are similar to what you’d expect from a much lighter car. All this performance and you don’t even need to break a sweat driving it. Well you better not break a sweat, because we stripped the air-conditioning out.

6.2 mile version? High miler? Oil change? Refresh if it's not low mileage?

Just a oil change and chassis refresh, the oil to restore power and the refresh to return the car 'as new'

Oil change is so routine that I just simply forgot, and then the chassis refresh doesn't show in the tuning menu :dunce:

Do all that and your set

Take an NSX (this one is a Yellow '01 Type S with green Takata mags)
Slap on:

Brakes and Controller (5/4)
Racing Suspension (10/10 - 90/90 - 8/8 - 8/8 - 0.0/0.0 - 0/0 - 5/5)
Full Tranny (3.475/2.325/1.700/1.325/1.075/0.900/4.00/11 (for the '01 Type S with this set))

((Nurb: 15'26.598 with some mistakes with the '92 Type R with:
2.975/1.875/1.350/1.025/0.825/4.250/10 tranny settings on a 2 lapper Family Cup Race) Champion White with Black center
spoked and Chrome rims)

Triple-Plate CLutch
Racing Flywheel
LSD (8/32/24)

Oughtta work for bout any condition / power NSX... Minor tweaks to 'snug' it to model.

D

80)

(fixed a typo on the LSD)
(added '92 Type R Tranny info)

ps - it oughtta let it launch, fly, land, and handle pretty balanced, tire wear on this model is even, as is with the '02 Type R (wears the rear tires a lil moreso on the '92 Type R - easy to fix...). Lighten and raise it to soak up rough stuff some if ya like, but i'm a pretty aggressive racer.

pps - No differentiation as to engine placement with the classes here?

So far I'm going for that Supra, especially because Supras and 3000GTs are my favourite Japanese cars and got neither in GT5:P so I'm left pining for a drive.;) Go the Supra (for now).:P

count me in.., due to my inability to upload pictures, i'll join TCv4 so that i will still have a reason to play GT4.., i'm sensing the day of reckoning for the Spoon Civic.., (evil laugh) mwahahahahaha!!! :mischievous::mischievous:

Also before anyone else posts, could we keep the chatter to this thread? I think it would be easier for judges if they didn't have to scroll down through a ton of replies when they are looking for cars. Setups here, chat there. :)👍

ride height: 73/73
damper: 6/5
cambers: 2.5/1.5
toe angle: -1/-2
stabilisers: 5/3

2nd: 1.805
3rd: 1.391
4th: 1.118
5th: 0.950

Not a fast or slow gearbox, but it's particularly used on Midfield Raceway.

Other:

Downforce: 30/22
Brake balance: 6/7
ballast weight: none
ballast position: 0

Notes: Not bad for an hour's work. It won't wheelspin much, unless you're really pushing it. And the cornering ability is decent for a car of this weight. I hit a 1'16.025 on Midfield. The car itself is smooth, but that may vary with track. Don't be tempted to take it offroad either. :)

Notes:
The Nissan Stagea, arguably the fastest wagon in GT4. Why? Because its quite literally a Skyline GT-R with a big boot. 2.6L Straight Six up front, a highly advanced 4WD system in the middle and Volvo eating boot space in the back. Of course, performance is plentiful. Power? Plenty. Handling? It’s just a heavier Skyline GT-R, which already handles exceptionally well. So expect large power slides, unrivalled braking performance and a fun factor of over 10. Full throttle launches produce no drama, only supercar stomping acceleration. Oh and it has 463bhp, just thought I’d mention that.

I dug deep in my garage to find this one, as I tuned this one a long time ago, so long ago that I forgot I even had it. It's got plenty of power and speed. Wheelspin is an issue in 1st and (sometimes) 2nd due to its fat torque curve, so best be smooth when applying the gas exiting low speed corners.

Lap Record at GVS: 1.55.691

Description: The C4 Grand Sport was the last of the iconic Corvette's C4 generation. It was a great looker, and performed well but by today's standards is a bit sluggish. When us boys from Down Under got our hands on it we began fitting this iconic vehicle with all modern racing parts, with intentions of making a track day special out of it. The engine has also been worked with an Aussie Tuners twin screw supercharger running a 7psi pulley feeding high pressure air to the engine. The result is 507hp and a very impressive 747Nm of torque coming from the 5.7L V8. We worked long and hard on the suspension to get it to a point we were satisfied with. The new gear ratios alone dropped 2sec off the lap time over the standard 'box. We named it the GS.S, with the extra 'S' standing for supercharged.

Inspired by the Megane R26R that recently appeared on TG: UK, we at N-Tune Performance opted for some Euro exotics and set out to create a sort of replica vehicle. God knows how much power their R26R develops but ours develops near 230hp to the front S3 Tyres. The idea was simple enough, by a Renault, remove almost everything of no use, lower it and add racing suspension. We were so happy with it that we decided to chuck it too the dogs in TCv4. We wish it the best of luck

Notes:
The Honda Civic Type R, a car blessed with sharp handling, a lightweight body and a hyper-revvy little inline 4. What we did to this seemingly innocent car was drop the weight even more, add a giant wing to the back and then turbocharged the thing. You will notice that first gear starts are impossible. 319 horses through the front wheels is, well, a lot. 2nd gear launches are doable though, provided you have throttle control. After that though, it’ll just grip and pull through the gears with force all the way to the 9100rpm limiter. The suspension and LSD keep the front end pointed in the right direction, with the wing keeping all 4 tyres firmly on the ground. Braking performance is phenomenal to say the least, like it has anchors for brakes. This is one Civic that lives to be driven fast.

The '00 Mustang Cobra R was basically a street legal race car. It lacked creature comforts like a/c, a radio or a back seat, but who cares, it had a 32 valve 5.4L DOHC V8 shoehorned between the front wheels. I took it a little further, shed some more weight and bumped up the power to over 530hp. Then tweaked the suspension and upgraded the brakes so it wasn't a 1-trick pony.

So from replica to torn-down shell, yanking out the engine and tweaking it slighty, to being rebuilt similar at first but different in the details, I present to you the world's only del sol Type R, still retaining the 'swapped' B16 from MFT but slighty tweaked, the car rev's all the way to 9000 rpm, making full use of Honda's VTEC while a fully revamped suspension keeps the car balanced in the turns, just ease into the throttle for 1st and 2nd, after that you can let it scream all you want, designed for fun, this car should keep you entertained for a bit.

I once entered this car in TCv3, with not-so-impressive results. A lot of flaws were present, wheelspin and understeer to name a few. Over the course of several months, the setup has been refined, over and over again after each test drive at any track. The result: a much more easier to drive vehicle than it was in stock. The suspension is made to handle almost any kind of corner-- from hairpins to sweepers --provided you know how to control the gas, which is now easier and more manageable to do. Grip is increase for nimble handling. And speed?? just about enough to give this Spoon car a great zoom on any track, not too much, not too less.

Ok. I wanted to add an entry before it got too late. I don't think I tuned this up to it's max potential, but after putting a couple hundred miles on all my tune projects, I figure I should at the least put something up for you all to try out. I was sorta pleased with the 10Diff-Family Cup lap times, and it had decent performance. I know I can eke out better times and better handling, but there ya go. Take 'er fer a spin, why dontchya! 80)

Hmm...

I don't quite like the use of the GSX-R/4. Why? It's a concept and I said yes to concepts but I don't find the GSX-R to be anything resembling a road-going vehicle, more a design exercise with zero chance of making it to production.

That and it's sort of like bringing a nuclear warhead to a fist fight of a few hundred cavemen.
