RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Gender doesn't matter in love :P But I have a Japanese girlfriend already, screw that

On topic... Oi Roj, which of all your tunes is a pain in the ass to make?
Oh, U bi? enough, really, it hurts to talk 'bout love  </3
His biggest pain was, without doubt, my CTR Yellowbird :D

And get going on my Celica!

Нет, подождите, я занял слишком.

If you want the old settings, contact my GF Mari Makinami at 09276961337.:lol:
Will do.

As in to tune or just to buy and build? I guess the 370 GT Academy since that car is rare and it's like argh I'm ruining it! Otherwise the Enzo because it's so damn expensive. Edit: I guess the Yellowbird was a PITA, yeah. And wait your turn Ongirl!

Beware, she's one hot schoolgirl who pilots a freaky, gigantic robot

The former mate. So I take it that the Enzo's understeer is a major gear-grinder?

... and Sum Ting Wong's tail-wagging Jarate-bird?

-.- Damn you. I'll never have a girl </3 :( When can you start? Cuz I have a few more for you to get going on…the N/A1s of the world need some attention too.

Gundam pillot?

Yep. Pain in the bum Enzo! The Yellowbird is just overtuned. It's fine with stock power and racing softs.

I think it's 3rd on my to-do list? Or 4th? I forgot. N/A1s? NA1 NSX? We've got 2 already!

You lot with your Gundams, I has no clue what you are going on about.

Well, I wanted a Blackbird replica, so that's what you gave me.

Damn you, get it done quick. -.- NA1, as in the old NSX. But do any of them have a Type R badge? And are they for a fully lightened one? No. So that'll be your next tune request.

Use the Street Legal or R1 settings. Honestly there wont be much difference apart from gearbox anyway.

Can't be arsed. I'm not going to do what I did with my brownmobile, that was easy, this isn't. Cuz I have to figure out the gears, the 'perfect' compromise for the suspension and diff, and I don't have the skill for that.

Well I took the 'Vette out for a spin on the ring yesterday - It was surprisingly tame for a muscle car. I'm going to try the NSX today as well as some of the new batch that comes out

Watch out! Some 'Vette purists will start throwing sausages at you for saying its a muscle car!

Ugh, sorry I haven't posted the review of the SV and Enzo, there are four reasons as to why I haven't. 1. I've been busy, including getting my braces on :yuck: 2. I haven't been feeling well. 3.I have writer's block. 4. I'm lazy, very lazy. Because I have writers block I think I'll do a review like a car magazine would where they just cover the car's strengths and weaknesses most of the time. 💡

You're just like me then. Except I don't regret putting the reviews off

God knows how your GF (real or not) can deal with you with this attitude, especially when things get intimite

I do not like where this is going. Off to off-topic hell we go

That's what I was telling ya mate.

On topic: I forgot to say too that the RKM ER34 seems more stable than it is online. Remember our race last time, Onboy123? Where you pissed me off a bit?

Well, I can't say much! I ended the race with the ER's nose buried the the TM final chicane's wall! I was that off the pace! But it does require some throttle control, mote so online than off.

Goes to show that you got the corners but I have the pedal-feathering finesse. :P :sly:

Well as I said, I was having weird feeling that day, I was very angry in a corner and then very remorseful the next. So the throttle bar was going from FULL POWERRR to a trickle then POWEEErRRRR in that race. Trust me, if I did the feathering thing in that mood, I would have given up at the hairpin at the end of the back straight and be in the loch and drowned.

Tuner Comments:
GfxJG asked us to tune an SL55 in our usual RKM style, so we did, by putting more AMG in his AMG, so he can torque while he torques.

Like the SLS, the SL55 isn’t much of a handling machine. Actually it’s quite bad and makes a bus look like a hot hatch in comparison. So we decided instead of making the SL55 become an Elise, we’d let the SL55 do what it does best, power. Lots of power. This SL55 puts even muscle cars to shame with the amount of torque it has. Effortless pull from as little as 2,500rpm!

Everyone’s biggest gripe with the SL55 is the AMG-style tyre destruction. Well we’ve managed to suppress it back to first gear, with a little bit of second gear play if you love your Mercs sideways. What this car lacks in handling, it makes up for in control and sheer fun. Yes, fun in an expensive Mercedes. Madness? This is RKM!

Tuner Comments:
This NSX Evolution R is not a replacement for the 3rd Anniversary. Instead, it’s more of a sibling. The 3rd Anniversary has developed a reputation for prioritising fun over lap times, which is great, but leaves a gap in the roster for a serious racing NSX. This is where the Evolution R comes in. It’s more powerful, stiffer and more controllable than the 3rd Anniversary, which is perfect for 550PP racing.

The Evolution R is more than just a boosted 3rd Anniversary. A totally revamped gearbox eliminates wheelspin in any gear, including first. You can actually do proper standing starts in this car! A stiffer suspension setup gives a more neutral handling feel with some oversteer when you need it and there’s so much stability, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were driving a 4WD NSX.

The 512BB is from the 70’s and has unicycle-thin rear tyres, so the last thing it needs is more power. We tried to modernise the 512BB with some gentle tuning but it seems the 345bhp it comes with stock already overpowers the rear tyres. Thankfully though the 512BB doesn’t refuse to respond to tuning and as a result, it’s only slightly more slidey than an NA1 NSX.

Tuner Comments:
Lampuhkap asked us for an R10 TDI, without any power-adders installed. Without any turbo upgrades, the R10 is tame and handles great. This is one of those LMP’s you can actually run without TCS. The only major improvement you’ll see between this and a stock R10 is the gearbox. Ours is much more suited to it’s diesel motor, allowing the torque to do it’s job and not spin it all away. Our suspension and LSD have made the car slightly easier to drive but, the speed difference is almost nothing.

The McLaren MP4-12C is the Ferrari 458’s arch rival, although the 458 always seems to be the faster of the pair. That doesn’t really matter to us though, because this MP4 cares less about the 458 in front and more about putting a smile on your face. This MP4 is so, so, so fun. It does what you tell it to do. Tell it to drift the last corner of Tsukuba and it will, with ease and lots of smoke. Tell it to grip like glue and it’ll do it without breaking a sweat. It may not keep up with our 458F, but who cares when you can hoon it like a boss?
