RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

We need to host a RKM single make race. Everyone with the same car with RKM setup to see who's the best between us all. Roj, RJ and Sapphire, you guys and gal are included in this

What track or tracks did you do the set up for on the McLaren F1 Stealth? It was to low to the ground for Spa.
I'm working on a setup for Spa and I plan on running this car in season 4 of our GTPFIA league. If it is still availible. I think I and 2 other people have it in our league. The only way to get the car was to pre-order the GT5 game.
It's not an online tune so don't expect any miracles there. I tuned it on Grand Valley Speedway mostly. It's suited to flatter tracks.
Anyone else thinking that GT5 is getting really boring now? Even online!

Yep, felt that for a while now so I stopped playing it and played Skyrim instead. I'm only just returning for Ryan's shootout and also because my main Skyrim save has become unplayable until patch 1.5 comes out.

And would that be the base tune for your 550PP entry? If I recall correctly, that thing prefers flat tracks rather than the hilly stuff, so it should be a good base for the shootout tune, given the track choice.

That is the 550PP entry. No point building a new car when you already have one ready to go. The main difference is the lowering of the downforce to bring the PP down from 552 to 550. Then it's just got some tweaks here and there so it won't eat the kitty litter so much.

Tuned for the Japanese Auto Celebration Shootout, 490PP division.

This GT86 Type R is pretty much the same as the GT-Apex tune, just with a harder compound of tyre to qualify for the shootout with settings tweaks to match. The only thing you need to be aware of is the choice of final gear ratios given to you in the transmission settings. The Suzuka setting can be used anywhere, but if you really want to squeeze out the last tenth at Tsukuba or Autumn Ring Mini, use the Tsukuba final ratio.

This is a fully broken in GT86, without oil change. If your GT86 isn’t fully broken in or has had its oil changed, you probably won’t hit 490PP. In that case, you’ll just have to balance the power limiter and ballast weight until you can hit 490PP yourself.

Tuned for the Japanese Auto Celebration Shootout, 520PP division.

The Ken Block references are strong with this one. Shift at 7,000rpm to make the best of the torque-rich powerband and don’t be afraid to shift down to first gear and boot it around hairpins.

This is a fully broken in Impreza, without oil change. If your Impreza isn’t fully broken in or has had its oil changed, you probably won’t hit 520PP. In that case, you’ll just have to balance the power limiter and ballast weight until you can hit 520PP yourself.

As seen in my race report, Suzuka 1000km - Wrath Of The Kia.

Your Sidewinder NSX.
I took it out onto Nurburgring GP/D in the 500PP seasonal today, and it blew me away. The tune as I understand it isn't even for circuit racing?
Anyway, the NSX had good acceleration, faster than most of the 500PP+ bracket, and the car was always in the powerband, but the special bit is how the car handles. It's like it's on rails... And no matter how I thrashed it, the tail was always kept in check, only sliding out ever so slightly to let you know you've overstepped the mark for the previous corner.
I feel perhaps there is more to be got out of the engine, but then again, this is just a 500PP tune and not a maxed version of the NSX (of which you have 3 )
All in all a great tune guys :)

.

I used this tune on my Sub that was standing all alone in the corner of my garage to be tuned. 0,0 km's on it. Brand new.

Slapped on some RE30 wheels in silver with sticky Sport Softs, bought suspension stuff, diffs and a clutch. Tuned the motor with full exhaust, intake + filter and an ECU. Thats it. No tranny, no prop, no flywheel upgrades and no aero. Just the basics. Car drove his first Tsukuba lap in 1:01 and his first Ring in 7:44

Im pleased with this tune. Its stable, fast it has a lot of grip, car isnt really loud so i could do some endurance with it. It still has all the interior and even retains his stock turbo and internals of the block. Tuning on a budget works :D

Daily street legal driven Subaru with awesome looks and performance to match. Good job on this one! :D

Roj, can u send me the NSX back and tell me what setup is most relevant for my car, so i can put it on? Its going to be wingless, no aero!
