I just purchase the new PS2 and GT4 and the Logitech DFP. I can pick-up GT3 for 19.99 CDN and was wondering if it is worth getting even though I have GT4?

Aretheitany cars or tracks that are in GT3 that are not in GT4 etc...?

GT4 has everything GT3 has, except for complex string.

Only get it if you actually want to play it.

if you want the A and B licenses the easy way and want some easy $ (100k), then you should buy gt3. There is no other reason for you to buy gt3, it pales in comparison to 4

... and Rome and SSR11. And no autosave. And i-Link. And ...

But you don't get the licenses done for the GT3 gamesave, you get them for the Prologue gamesave. And you actually don't even need the game itself, just download a saved game from the internet, put it on your memcard and there you go.

That requires you have some way of getting the gamesave onto your Mem card. All in all, I would say don't bother with GT3 since it has crappier graphics, crappier track models, and crappier physics.

The physics of GT3 and GT4 are way different. GT3 is more enjoyable to just jump into and pay around with if you like getting down to business right away. GT4 takes A LOT of patience and practice to learn the driving physics. I recommend you get it if you can. I have GT4 and still love going back to 3 for the drifting. ^^

For $15 at Circuit I would say get it. NOw if you play it that is up to you. I know every once in awhile I still pop in GT and GT2 when I had GT3.

The only thing that I liked about GT3 that I hate about GT4 is the music. Although I never play with the music on anyway. :dunce:

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I think I will borrow a friends before I decide to buy one.

So GT4 has every car that GT# has including the Aryton Senna F1 Cars?

No GT4 has only 1 F1 type car not based on any specific model. However every other car in GT3 pretty much is in GT4. There really is no need to get GT3 after you got GT4.

Go ahead if you want, but don't get it to practice for GT4. The two games have VERY different physics, and if you have a Driving Force Pro, the turning radius is also different. GT3 is a great game, no doubt, and it's probably something u don't wanna miss out on.

It's really up to you if u wanna get it. It's a fun game, but GT4 is still better IMHO.

..keep in mind GT3 is like 3 years old or so lol after getting it for christmas, i really dont think i will go back to it

I rebought GT and GT2, because I had lost them/borrowed them out and never got them back. It's like buying a box set DVD's..it's nice to have the whole set. If you like a bands music well enough, you'll buy every all their CD's to have the complete set.

that's my thought on the subject anyway.

Yeah im gonna miss not have my selection of F1 cars in GT4.

seriously, don't do it. the physics are quite different, if you try to get used to one, the other game will not feel so right. There really isn't a good reason to get gt3 anymore

Buy it, GT3 was a great game ... but I would wait a few weeks /months, because prices will fall, get it in summer on ebay after having finished GT4... GT3 is different, and that is the reason why it makes sense to own it along with Gt4. Apart from the fact that one should own all GT games, of course.... :)
