I've used the Minilite wheels from the Ginetta on my MINIs and MGs. Lower the car a bit and these guys are ready for the track!

i love this feature of gt4. i put shigeno trueno mini-lite wheels on my black m3 csl and it looks wicked. it's also a good place to buy wheels for older cars, because not much in the manufacturers suits them

actually, apart from white or bronze volk te37s, and sometimes oz racing rally-looking wheels, there isn't really much i like in the preset wheels at all

ooh yeah, gives me a chance to put Stock Steel rims on my Typhoon, gives it the fully sick burnout look.

I put '70 Charger Rallyes on my Ram 1500. Subtle but cool.

excellent..thanks for putting the work into it. I"m sure many will make good use of it. The nice thing is, all you have to do is look at the wheels available currently and then count towards the wheels you want.

Yeah good job, I've used it several times also. Good reference... Needs to be stickied or added to the FAQ section.

When you see 9 different wheel companies screen, there is an option below them, it shows "wheel of the day" or "today's special". When you enter that, you will be shown 15 wheels depends on which day you are on.
However you can only buy one wheel for each day, so if you want to buy the same wheel for a different car, you will have to wait 29 or 32 days
That's why this database is so handy when this situation happens to you
Hmm, seems like this "wheel of the day" thing was edited in the PAL version. All we have is a "Used wheels" section, which I guess works the same way?

i believe there is only the jpn/asia version seen here and this american version. check both out....you may be able to do a little math and ffigure out when the wheel set shows up on ur version.

In the PAL UK version that I'm playing it seems I have the set featured here, not the Asia/JPN one.

I suppose it's a shame that these things aren't random, but I am happy at least that each 29 days I get another chance to get my road and race sheels to match.

Cheers,

pointy

Hey all. I'm going to be taking this a step further. Building upon what has been previously done, and more. I've already made an excel sheet with the wheel # (MI0236) and I plan on linking them all to they cars they belong on. If anyone has also been working on anything relating to wheels of the day, let me know what you have, I'm looking for good screen caps of the individual wheels.

well all i see is "Used Wheels"

i know its been asked before, not sure if it was answered, but is this the same as "Wheel of the Day?"

sorry if its already been answered :dunce:

great work, i´m very thankful, this is big help to me...
Your welcome. Its nice seeing people still use this. Made all the work worth it. Dont forget that Franz has the JPN/Asian version if you dont have the american/PAL version. :)

By the way I am impressed by the work you guys do by getting screen shots posted so we can be more informed. Is there a thread or website where I can find pictures of all the prize cars including the 4 special black cars.

Hard to say but I actually wanted to make a replica of Nismo R34 GT-R Z-tune and the 350z z-tune's rims would be the closest. I think.....

I tried making my own NISMO R34 Z-Tune using a V-spec II Nur. I tried to mimic the work NISMO did by including a port polish job, engine balancing, and displacement up like the real car. I didn't do a weight reduction because although there were a lot of weight saving measures, the tougher/stiffer components ended up keeping weight the same.

The closest I could get in terms of power was 509hp, vs 500hp for the actual car. It took a little trial and error. To reach that number, you need the following:
1. Stage 2 Turbo
2. Engine balancing
3. Port Polish
4. Displacement up
5. Oil change(duh)

As for wheels, the ones to get are the black 'NI0318' wheels from the NISMO Fairlady Z-Tune in the used section. That's about as close as it gets to the real car.

Even without a weight reduction or a GT wing(Didn't get one, since the real car doesn't have one), the car is still fast. With a good setup(Fumes' Original suspension setup on GT Vault), I still ran in the 58 second range at Tsukuba.
