(I searched for this!) While I was driving on Citta di Aria Reverse a few minutes ago I noticed i could get very close to the wall at the first corner after the uphill section. I tried this a few times again and it proved to be very interesting! It's a hard technique but you learn to know your car's handling very well by doing this.

Why dont you take some pictures :)

Ah! I forgot to post that! I guess I was too fast on the 'finish' buttons ^^" It's already late where I live and so I make mistakes easy...

Does anyone else have tips or so for improving this technique? Any picures from other members will heartly be appriciated! I'd love to someone else hugg the walls (without hitting it!)

I know how to hug the walls at the clubman stage, I'm not sure if that's the name, the Original Night Course. Right before you go into the first turn in the tunnel. I bring the rear really close to the railings before going into the drift in the tunnel, in which I also bring the rear really close to the wall. I'll try to post pics today, but my friend borrowed my flashcard.

:) Thanks a lot guys! I'd love to see your pictures sil80-drifter! Don't tell me you're gonna use a Sil80 for it! I wanna see you do that in one! ^_^ When I still played GT2 I used to do that on that track all the time. That was the ideal line in that corner and looked really cool!

And yeah, the Levin is Supercharged... My dream car...

check out my Levin turbocharged

This my favorite drift track, Tsukuba Circuit, is one of the tracks used on the D1GP season, I wish GT4 had also included the Ebisu Circuit, but this will do.

Nice Levin! I'd only choose Superchargers above Turbo, because it's much more reliable, has no lag and doesn't kick in the back that hard... Still, the engine sounds a lot better with a turbo (especially the blow-valve sound!)

Hmm, Eibisu isn't THAT interesting is it? I wish they has Spa Francochamps in it! Now that's a track worth drifting! Now, lemme see those wall scraping pictures of you! (I'm gonna hit the sack now, but I'll check em later!)

If you like wall hugging drifts check out my new vid,Driftology there is one drift in the vid that is uber close to the wall.

that's Costa de Amalfi, not Citta di Aria.

I think you also feel better f you do it in a more narrow circuit, like Trial Mountain, but the thing is with YOUR choise of track, that you don't have any room to drift the corner in any OTHER way. And that rules, and THAT takes pretty good skill, and THAT demands my respect to you buddy:tup:
All the pictures look very good:tup:

Keep it up, keep it hugging, and keep it sideways:cool:

Those pictures look fantastic mr. 'sil80_drifter'! 👍 Did you slide the whole way through that corner near the wall on Cittia di Aria? That would be really cool ^^ Can you get any closer to the wall on that course? When I'm back from my vacation to Croatia, tomorrow starting, I'm gonna try to do some more wall grinding at Costa di Almafi and Citta di Aria in other corners.

Thank you mr. 'G-T-4-Fan' for your very friendly reaction! Yes, it does take a lot of practice... But I did it without noticing it. I had my nose very close to the wall and expected to hit it slightly, but I didn't :) I tried it once more and didn't hit it either! :O Next time I'm gonna try it with another car... Maybe I'll try a Clio V6 or something... I'm starting to like this kind of thing!

So true!

Actually I found another recent picture from the same session as the first:

That's lots of Mr. angle and Mr. wall hugging for ya! :p Afterwards the car was too unstable to maintain speed on the straightway and so I scraped a wall and spun out a little...

Seeing your pics pumps me up and makes me want to practice more so I can gain that control over my car O.O

How exactly do you get the pics on the computer?

Yeah really, it's good to see many different variations of drifting, I was getting bored of drifting and now I've been drifting again, but in different styles, like...without any smoke (see my thread) or yes, wall hugging lol:p

+Drifting my new drift wonder, Jaguar S type R!! WHITE!! I just love it, \/see my photoblog in my sig\/

thos are some nice pics fellas i have found also that trying to follow a regual racing line like you would with drifting very difficult i do have some cool pics to show though

Wow!! I get amazed more and more by these proofs of car control O.O Hahah really nice, all of them... but especially the "one tire in the dirt" drift... WOW!

i love evos here is my 537 hp evo this turn is in autum ring if you watch that is a really hard drift to do around those corners you have to car a huge amount of throw around that corner to accomplish this drift and the shot in the middle is an in car on the fastest shudder speed and it was still blury

Wow! Thank you guys for those nice paint scratching pictures! The Lancer just looks fantastic with one wheel in the dirt and almost scraping the wall!
That Skyline is also really close to the wall, but not close enough! Can you do this little trick? On Citta di Aria on the first really narrow corner with a BMW 330i:

It wasn't that hard to do, you just gotta know the abillities of your car :) Keep on posting your bumper-paintjob-along-the-wall pictures!
