NOTE: Please feel free to discuss, make suggestions, and add input to this guide.

When I get the chance, I'll add additional information, like how to unlock them, 'skin' choices, what real world cars do they resemble, or were 'inspired' by, etc.

First of all, the game has seven different classes of vehicles:

  1. Bikes
  2. ATVs
  3. Buggies
  4. Rally Cars
  5. Racing Trucks
  6. Mud Pluggers
  7. Big Rigs
There are a total of five vehicles for each class type:

(pics and additional info on these vehicles is listed in the posts below)

For each vehicle, you have a choice of three different "skins" (color/decal schemes and drivers), which you can view by pressing the 'up' or 'down' D-pad buttons. To see pics of these different skins, scroll down to the post below that includes pics of those vehicles.

When the game starts, you only have access to the first two vehicles in each class. The more you progress in single player mode, the more vehicles you will unlock.

IMPORTANT: When playing online, you will only have access to the cars you started with and the ones you have unlocked. Also, you cannot unlock any cars from playing online. This can only be done by progressing through the game and collecting points.

Performance Differences Among Vehicle Classes

Many people keep asking how each of these vehicles perform compared to the others. Well, as far as I can tell, none of the cars within a class type perform differently, but there are obvious differences between class types. Much has been speculated about these differences, but it appears we now have some confirmed information directly from Sony.

On Sony's official Japanese website for MotorStorm, they include information on the performance stats for each class type.

Well done! The pictures in this thread are fantastic. All car lists in the future should be done like this! +rep

Thanks, pictures are coming back, with more this time.

For now, I had to re-do how this thread was laid out, as there is a limit to the number of pics and number of charcters you can have in one post. :)

For the time being, I did add performance stats for all the vehicles to keep you busy. :D

Take your time...I don't have a PS3 yet anyway so you can tidy it up until then. I put a self-imposed goal of finishing the remodel of my basement before I buy one. My wife also has hung a HDTV reward in front of me for extra incentive. When that time comes I plan on asking some advice from you on what tv you think might be the best for me. I believe that I get to spend up around 4 G's so I think I can get one BANG-UP set for that. Stay tuned for details.👍

Just a heads up.

During Sony's E3 presentation, Phil Harrison played the upcoming "Eagle's Nest" course driving the new Rally Car, "Patriot 85" which is a "version" of the '85 De Lorean... which follows MotorStorm's nomenclature system.

In addition it showed a few of the other new cars.

You can see up-close footage of these new cars by going to the European PSN Store and download the video clip "Paul Hollywood Interview". About half way through it will show up-close footage of the "Castro Capitano" (Truck), "Wombat Mudslide" (ATV), "Patriot 85" (Rally Car), and "Atlas Arizona" (Big Rig).

I don’t know when the Eagle's Crest content will be available for download, but I would guess it will be soon. 👍

Not yet...

MotorStorm Additional Content Imminent
posted on Wednesday, 29 August 2007 by DolphGB @ 21:41
Keep your eyes peeled; new tracks, a new 'weekend pass' and new vehicles are on their way for Motorstorm.

Direct from our friends at Evolution Studios comes a scan of the current marketing campaign that SCEE are putting out in the printed media, and the latest UK Playstation Network email update lists Vehicle Packs 1 & 2 plus the Coyote Revenge weekend pass as 'on the horizon'.

Coyote Revenge is a new track that reverses the existing Coyote track. Also rumoured to be in the weekend pass is the Eagle's Nest track, which was shown at E3.

Also, in the European PS Store, they just added among other things a new 3-min interview with Jed Ashcroft of Evolution Studios on the upcoming "Coyote Weekend VIP Pass" which apparently will consist of 3 new tickets of 3 races in each.

The first ticket is said to come with two new vehicles; a bike and an ATV (as shown above). The bike is called the Wakazashi Razor, which from it's looks and from what was hinted on in the interview, it appears to be based on the famous bike used in the cheesy 80's TV show Street Hawk, which tried to capitalize on the popularity on Knight Rider... "Don't hassle the Hoff!" ;)

All bronze in the first ticket is said to unlock the second, all silver on second perhaps opens third ticket. All gold on third, or all gold on all tickets, wins a new vehicle. The 'Pass' comes with Coyote Reverse and Eliminator mode to use in the game.

The new vehicles can be used online only if you have the pass and complete all golds for the last one... and if you do you'll have vehicles most players online wont have access to.

BTW: Coyote Reverse apparently will not be an exact reverse course of Coyote, more routes and ramps have been added to give more vehicle options and a better balance btw their lap times.

PS: No word on what happened or is happening with the “Eagles Nest” add-on. :odd:

On an unrelated, but entertaining note, check out these two videos a fan made of some pretty wild "rides" in MotorStorm:

Reminds me how much pure fun MotorStorm can be, as well as challenging. :)👍

The Halloween special livery for the Castro Robusto truck may finally be coming to owners of MotorStorm outside of Europe. The download is not available at the Korean and Japanese PS Stores, and is supposed to be available in the US Store today.

The only footage I could find of it is this very poor quality YouTube video:

Speaking of new DLC for MotorStorm, Evolution Studios is also supposed to be releasing Devil’s Weekend today which will come with 4 new tickets containing 10 races, and 6 new vehicles (including a special unlockable vehicle - just like the Coyote's Revenge pack).
  • Wasabi Oshizushi
  • Wasabi Rascal
  • McQueen Adventure (from The Thomas Crown Affair - starring Steve McQueen)
  • Patriot V8 (from Mad Max - Mel Gibson's ride)
  • Atlas Governor (from Terminator 2 - "Governor" being a referrence to Arnold Schwarzenegger)

YAY I got my PS3 finally and im buying those new vehicles that come with devils revenge thingy YAY I beat motorstorm also thats y im buyin them

Thanks.... I like to think of myself as a modern Renaissance man. :)

(although time restraints have limited the amount of time I can now apply to each interest) :(
