Record high scores at Fir Park - 6 all?

Last night, Motherwell played Hibernian in a match that should have went a long way to deciding which of the 2 get into Europe next year. It should have been a tight match. Should have been...



Yep, that'll be Motherwell 6 Hibernian 6.

That creates a new high scoring record for an SPL game. Strangely, Motherwell were also involved in the previous high scoring game, a 6-5 defeat to Aberdeen in 1999.

I'll never understand how some folk leave early in a football game...

As to who'll be playing in Europe next season, Motherwell are sitting 4th and in an automatic Europa Cup place, with Hibs a place and a point behind in 5th. Motherwell play Rangers in the last game, and Hibs play Dundee United. However, 5th place could still claim a European spot if Dundee United win the Scottish Cup (They're in the final against Ross County....)

Bummer. We drew 3 each with Rangers, so we needed Dundee United to beat Hibs, but they lost 2 nil

Motherwell therfore finished 5th place in the league. A Europa cup place is still ours if Dundee Untied beat Ross County in the Scottish Cup final. C'mon United.
