Gt5 demo on PSN+ soon???

1) A new member calling himself GT5 staff and posting about something without mentioning much is like walking up to someone in a sexy police outfit and trying arrest the prime minister.. somethings not right...


2) Prologue isn't a demo.


A demo is usually
- free
- a small taste, one level, a few car, one type of character, whatever it is for the game.. but a taste small bit of the actual thing
- released just prior to the game ot build interest



GT: Prologue is none of that... It isn't free... its physics engine (most important part of gt) isn't the same as in the game, there ar no whether, night, day etc.. or anyuthing that is/probably will be in the actual game
and it wasn't released just prior to build interest.. it was released december 2007... which if im not mistaken is 3 years before GT5 is to be released (give or take a month)...

Proluge is as similiar to GT5 as gt 4 was to 3.
Same console, different engine, more cars, more tracks, more more more and new ideas

GT5 Prologue is as similar to GT5 as GT4 Prologue was to GT4, the word prologue is just referring to a first taste of the final game, an opening statement if you will.
Although it turns out not to be a very reliable one this time I guess.

Point still stands.. Unless your talking about the word prologue.. then you can't say its a demo..

If you want to see what a demo looks like ghave a lookat the F1CE demo.. its small enough.. it has a full set of cars and a couple of tracks.. no career mode, or time trials or online.. just a couple of tracks to show the game.. THATS A DEMO.

Or look at the Bad COmpany demo.. one little bit gives you a taste.

A game you go and buy with different features is not one
 
I saw GT5 in the PSN+ video too , but iam sure that they will not realase a GT5 demo
GT5 is not a game like NFS or anything like this
GT5 is too special for a demo and it would be too big

UN-OC is right, demo by definition is a free sample. FREE.
So no standalone retail game for 40 bucks.

And bashing on Gt5 staff is not quite right. Tell your opinion ok but bashing on and on is lame.

We know that some people surly felt stupid after the rumors of amar crystalized to be true, and he was also hit on for telling us information that probably can get him fired (as probably for Gt5staff).
Make your opinion about what he says, believe it not, write it down here,...
I, for one, believe him to 75% because it is logical.

Ps3 also got a new generation of youngsters playing so they need to be introduced to it.
I for one remember playing the Gt1 demo which had one track and a time limit of a few minutes. Why not do it again, if it worked in the past.

I agree with your post although it's understandable for people to be sceptical of someone claiming insider information and then being vague with their justification.

There really is no reason not to release a demo prior to the GT5 launch as there have already been multiple demos for the recent shows and events so I don't believe it would impact negatively on PD's schedule.

One reason PD may be reluctant to release a demo is the fear it may be too difficult for many people and put them off buying the full game but this would likely be outweighed by the number of people who would be convinced it was worth the wait and go out and buy it.

I would looove a recent , even simple, demo. November is not just around the corner.
 
according to Kaz's recent tweets, he's thinking about putting together a small launch demo. Like a Time Trial thing but he wants to give out a prize of some kind. So, they're probably going to figure that out.

If they're giving away LittleBigPlanet to European Playstation Plus subscribers, which is a full title, why not give GT5:P to Playstation Plus subscribers as another perk, seeing as it is not a full GT title?

because LBP is only given to people signing up during the first week.
Sony's much beloved first adopters are always given something special
PS3 -> casino royale
PSP (1st) -> Spiderman 2 UMD
PSP GO -> GTmobile
Bravia 3d -> 3d game pack
....

US got 3 months free which is 20 dollars ,and LBP is worth 20 dollars.

Fair enough.

It's just that, between releasing a brand new demo or repackaging Prologue-especially as part of the PSN Plus thing, I see the latter as being the most likely. Only time will tell.

This is wrong LBP is availble all the way up till August.

The reason why you all want a GT5 demo is that you can't wait max 5 months
After 2 weeks i get holiday for 1.5 months and after that GT5 will be around the corner
 
Except that there'll be a demo or beta. Otherwise it makes no sense for sony to put that gt5 clip right on during the 'experience early demo and beta' thing in the video

Because GT5 and GT5 Prologue are different games...
Prologue will not reflect quality/detail/feature level of GT5, which is demo are built for.
 
Forget any demo. Produce more tracks. Work on DLC if any, but I would not agree with any demo. We had a demo, last Dec. We a big taste, GT5P. We had a sample, GT HD. Give us the game.

The simple things:
  • Produce more tracks for the many series on GT5
  • Give us detailed informationa about this game, not bits and peices
  • Release it already

I would not like to see a demo, because it will take time away from the final product. 20 Tracks (locations)...work on that.

I agree with Chadwick. A demo would consist of a tiny number of cars and one track, most likely Tokyo, much like the Forza 3 demo. The funny thing was, the F3 demo didn't feel quite like the actual game.

In Prologue, you have 70 cars, six tracks with variations, a basic online system, and close-to-GT5 physics. This is much better than a demo to me.

Spend the time adding content and polishing GT5. Four months will pass faster than you think.

I realize that. My point is not that I believe that Prologue will be added to the PS Plus content, merely that it would make sense for Sony to add it to the list of items available, either for free, for a discount, or as part of the full game trial thing in order to promote the PS Plus Plus program itself. It doesn't matter how different Prologue is from GT5, if Sony believes it would help promote PS Plus, I don't see any good reason for them not to offer Prologue to PS Plus subscribes in one form or another seeing as it costs them almost nothing to do so versus a potential increase in subscriptions. Will they? Only time will tell, but that's my impression based on the available info.

Whether Sony decides to add Prologue to the PS Plus offering or not has little or no bearing on whether Polyphony makes an up-to-date GT5 demo for PSN or PS Plus or not, but as far as I've read and as far as I know, it's looking like there will be no new public demo for download prior to release, though it's possible that I've missed something.
 
One thing that would be a good compromise would be to "reawaken" the Time Trial Demo, and patch in 10 or 20 cars and the up to date physics. Maybe even... dare I say it, Tokyo 246. I'd be all over that.
 
We have demo at 17th December, with a release date of 31 March (April).This is 4.5 month before release!So if the game comes November 2nd, we may have demo at mid July...*dreaming*
 
I really doubt they would put out a demo at this point. From what I've read and heard, compiling a demo is a lot more difficult and expensive than most people seem to think. And we already had a very extensive demo in the form of Prologue (and TT too, ofcourse)
 
Disregarding my previous post...If they [PD] gave us E3 DEMO...we would love it. 👍
