1.06 Nascar Special Events all Gold!

A day late and a dollar short when yesterday, the day after the 1.06 update I started the nascar special events. Knew nothing about the trouble ASM and its link to ABS was causing players. Totally oblivious to it all.

Right away starting with the Exit Pit Road test I knew my car was garbage. After finding what the culprit was I spent the next five hours doing the same dam n pit road race and eventually got gold. The two lap indy race took 2 hours.

Daytona 2 lap was THE hardest most mentally freaking drain since the end of Killzone 2. With ASM locked on and ABS stuck at 1 it shows that Japan is not familiar with Nascar regulations. No driving aids are allowed, you cant even get out of your car to bend sheet metal (Sterling Marlin lol).

Well after around 4 hours later I got that elusive gold at Daytona it was soooo close a finish. It was such a relief to get in front, desperately blocking and Jimmy Johnson bumping me last second upsetting my car at the finish line. The cherry on top was getting the "Within One Hundredth" trophy with that win!

All of you yet to do this event prepare yourself.

I saved replays of the pit road race and 2 lap daytona. As proof ASM is on you will see the triangle with the exclamation point appear when taking corners.
 
stupid 1.06 update. how did u beat it with ABS stuck at 1 and ASM on? Can u link ur replay on youtube? I can get gold in all the other Nascar challenge except the Daytona 2 Lap (Advance-3rd race). i pretty much gave up on it...

Whilst you cannot turn off ASM, if you turn ABS to 0, ASM gets disabled automatically.
 
Welll.....I don't know about others, but the pit exit challenging.....My strategy was to exit the pit full throttle and let one of the cars in the upcoming pack hit me so I get a boost. After that, the key is to enter a slip stream asap.

This has reminded me how I completed it. I pulled out of the pits, and there are two cars close together behind you. Block one of these cars, and let the other pass (putting you back one position) - you are now sufficiently close to slipstream this guy, and subsequently work your way up the pack into first. I entered first position pretty close to the end of the final lap.
 
I guess it's the new restriction in 1.06 update... lowest ABS possible is 1 and cannot be turned off. I tried changing it in Driving Option and in R/A menu mid race. That's why im asking how he beat it after 1.06...

I can gold every Nascar challenge with ABS at 1 except Advance 3rd Race - Daytona 2 Lap... I can't even get bronze.
 
This just shows how far out of touch PD is.
I mean "the real driving simulator" COME ON.

One has to wonder what's next.
 
I got this yesterday, turn active steering to strong, and brake bias to 0 front and back, if you have a DFGT steering wheel, if you don't, good luck, did 40% of the game with first 30 gold licences with the controller, not easy to do the nascar when i did the first two specials with the controller .... good luck
 
Okay this was the biggest pain in the a$$ ever! but I got it with the 6axis. I saved the replay but i have no idea how to download/upload it so you guys can see it.

BUT THIS IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE WHEEL!
