It has the best interior of any car in GT5 in my opinion. As far is i can find it is the only race car that tells you the lap time an the bottom right of the main dash. There is a second dash right over the left hand of the driver, on the top i don't know what that number means. The number changes as you drive, if you know PLEASE tell me what it means.

The JGTC Lexus's do the same.

:odd: limitless amount of torque, sure about that? :odd:

I think it was probably more down to the fact a 5 speed gearbox is more reliable than a 6 speed due to less things to go wrong :).

remember it is an endurance racecar ;)

The 2nd screen to the left seems as its a digital fuel readout, but mine isnt as reliable, counting down each second during the indy 500, im more of a fan of the jag you win for the 500

You´d say that more than 610Nm@6500 isn´t much torque? And what about actual LMP racecars with diesel engines? Google after their torque peaks and you swiftly will reconsider your opinion ;)

The 787B has to be the best moddeled car in GT5... it's pure perfection... the interior is extraordinary, the engine sound is 100% accurate, it's a beauty to drive, it's a beauty to watch... it's simple... it's perfect! Rotary Power FTW :dopey:!!!

i think the Citroen race car uses sonar to navigate the course.

I laughed at this :D

As for the 787B... I'm waiting until I run the 24 hour of Le Mans in A Spec to buy mine... I can't wait. One of the cars which I associate with my earliest GT experience, and I'll always love it for that.

We need moaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar premium Group C cars!!!!!

(And a level of quality across all the premium range that ranges with the 787B)

However, is it just me or the 787B has a little grapphics bug? When you crash it, the front sort of glitches and the "Renown" decal up front disappears and it just becomes an orange patch of nothing. Could someone confirm this, please? (My TV is dead for some time...).

I'm not a huge fan of cockpit view, but for the sake of photo mode and more replay options, more premium Group C / LMP cars, please.

I agree on the greatness of the cockpit view (even though I don't use it), but are you guys sure about the sound? It seems somewhat distorted to me, am I the only one? :scared:

It is kind of weird, but unique and very close to the real one.

But if an F1 car had a sound like that, I'd say it wouldn't last a lap longer.

^ I agree it's close. I don't think the actual sample is that bad, but as the revs get near the redline it just sounds as if theres something wrong with the engine. Like the revs are not increasing steadily, argh, I can't explain it... It's still one of my favourite cars though. It would definitely be THE favourite if the sound was a little bit more clean. :)

The sound is probably the best in GT5. It just drowns out everything else and makes the car seem a lot faster than it actually is.

Slayclops watch the video above your post, you can see the interior at the start of that.

I have a theory. I've read somewhere that pretty much any real 787b is quite valuable and darn-near unrepairable if something goes wrong mechanically with the engine. As with any extremely rare race car, they are all being run rev-limited. Therefore PD could actually sample 75-80% of the rev range, but the upper 25-20% they would have to simulate.

Now, for instance a Porsche 956/962 on the other hand, enough of them were built and campaigned for enough years that they are vintage-race with near full revs available/used.

a nice and comfortable car to race 24h. too bad it was so loud(in real life) that one of the drivers got a permanent ear illness/malfunction whatever.

He got tinnitus, but I still don't understand why such a thing would stop your career. I Believe every driver past 35 y.o. has some sort of tinnitus. Every farmer (driving a tractor) 40+ y.o. has tinnitus..
Yep, it's an annoying sound in your ears, but I can't see why it would end your career, except when you can't cope with it... And well, accepting and denying the sounds can take some years.

Yeah, i wouldn't quit
I doubt I would even notice the tinnitus when listening to the sound of the 787b
